If Ross isn't going to go for a title shot, how about we match our guys?
DeJesus and Buchanan v Fernandez and Ross, match 'em up however which way you like, eh?
Sounds good. 1v1 2v2.

Okay, in order to simplify things... Arguello has been offered shots at the WBC & WBO Titles. We don't have a preference, we view both fights as equally tough.
But in order for all the World Titles to be defended this week, here's what we will do:

Arguello will take the rematch against Mayweather - for the WBC Title... Which allows Canzoneri to fight for the WBO Title (as he is unranked by the WBC, which would prevent him fighting for it).

And that will lock up the World Title fights for this week.

Castillo would prefer Ramey Wesley if possible. I was late on that one...thanks crease for the assist on that one.

However

The idea that Canzoneri and Whitaker did not have input into their fight is disconcerting.

Did Canz want it? If so we are good, otherwise we had selected Ike Williams if Canz is shy.

Ramey is in a fight this week. Care to select an alternative cpu?

Ike Williams has agreed a cpu fight this week. And he is not eligible to fight for a World Title either.

Well if Canz wants the fight...fine.......if not I'll pick an opponent. My point was, I just wanted to have some say...and wanted to be sure that Canz' manager had some say. I'll Pick a cpu alt IF canz manager does not communicate.

Carter is fine for JLC.

If Vinnie Paz is not booked, Whitaker would face him.....

I recognize paz is technically not eligible....but I don't want my fighter to face a fighter who's manager has not approved the fight.

yeah but you can't fight a CPU for a title without giving it up. I mean nobody else gets to do that.

Could it be a non title affair with Paz? Though if Whitaker loses he'll resign the title. For me this is all about management consent.

And it not just being a mechanical process.

And Davey....we literally asked EVERYONE to fight......so it's not like we're ducking...we just want an engaged process.

It would be a good fight could go either way....but that's not the issue.

If his manager has not participated in the decision...we want no part of it....and yeah...we'll drop the belt to make the point.

It seems every conscious manager has chosen to avoid us.

It's about an engaged process vs automation. At least for this tick of the clock.

Who knows what principal or eccentricity I may choose to champion next.

That's a little extreme Buzz. But you more than anyone should know that being the Manager of a World Champion is a great honour in Simland. However, with it comes a solemn duty to try and find eligible challengers to fight, and offer them the same shot that you were given...

And so on and so forth. A fight against Paz or any other CPU, is not a bout worthy of World Title recognition. The fight with Canzoneri is the only option left for a defense.

Maybe there is something I am missing......and/or maybe you are fully missing my point.

Hopefully this should clarify where I stand.

Does Canzoneri have a manager? If so has he agreed to the fight? IF so the fight should go on.
If Canzoneri OFFICIALLY has no manager....the fight can go on.

IF Canzonery has a manager, and he's not approved this fight....then Whitaker will step down and face Paz....if said fighter is being "managed" by the commission when another manager is either not engaging.....or has declined.

I hope this makes my position clearer. I'm just concerned about Canzoneri's future.

And if he's not managed....we might have an interest in assuming his contract.

Canzoneri has got Buzz going crazy, if this goes any further the commish should award his poor fighter and champion, Sweet Pea, to The Old Master promotions stable for safekeeping.

Well that's one theory there Tomas......

But in reality....I'm just an old fashioned control freak. Whitaker's destiny WAS in my hands. Until "the man" took what was once mine, and made it his.

Crease should do the right thing, and trade me straight across.....Arguello for Whitaker.

Pernell has no faith in us anymore. We weren't there for him when he needed us the most.

He's out in the streets as we speak, snortin his nose candy,' and whinin', and cussin' us out big time.

I'm worried about the boy.
