MALTA BOXING COMMISSION - UK, SCOTLAND & IRELAND SANCTIONING
Re: MALTA BOXING COMMISSION - UK, SCOTLAND & IRELAND SANCTIONING
No that was on a GBA show. It was evidence in the Bruce Baker v Board case. Promoter acted as both promoter and GBA representative[/quote]
My mistake on that.

Billy Nelson will you be working Mohammad's corner on the MBC show ? The latest MBC press release saying no action can be taken against any BBBoC license holder appearing on one of their shows , still don't think I've seen a boxer/trainer appear on one .
Re: MALTA BOXING COMMISSION - UK, SCOTLAND & IRELAND SANCTIONING
To be fair to Billy, his fighter is decent from what I have seen and can certainly punch and could do well in tne futureboxing crazy wrote:i said basically, if he was that good of an amateur what is he doing fighting on this bill against a no hoper? surely you would want him in decent fights to help get him ranked with something? what will this fight do for him as a fighter? ill tell you nothing.billy nelson wrote:excuse me boxing crazy keep your idiotic thoughts to yourself, Mohammad is nobodies punchbag, mohamamad won the Asian games has a youth and won 106/109 amateur fights, how you can make any assessment of my boxers sparring without even seeing it is totally out of order.boxing crazy wrote:dw and luca di caro you have done well to get this much replies on your mickey mouse organisation. stick to your kickboxing, mma and your white collar shows that dont mean poo and please dont spoil the sport i love anymore. i was offered free tickets to the show in wishaw and refused them.
ronnie nailen was a good junior boxer for the barn but never improved vs matt scriven who has had 1 win since 2007 !!!
sandy robb is a big punchbag who cant be licensed by bbboc because of his diabetes vs matthew ellis who has been stopped or retired in 7 of his last 11 fights
scott allan ive seen at big alexs shows and is going nowhere except winning an mbc title vs isaac quaye whos is a 34 year old super flyweight with 2 wins in last 7 against journeyman
mohammad babbozaz billy nelson protege from iran who is basically brophys punchbag for the gym vs phillip townley who has 1 win in 9.
the other 2 having there debuts must be kickboxers because ive never heard of either around the boxing circuit.
sam allan must be scotts brother vs michael kelly who had a good start to his career but hasnt won since 2009 and lost his last 6.
ryan lyall never heard of him vs chris wood who has had 1 fight an dwon it and could be most competative fight on show.
if you are going to sell me with how good things will be with the mbc at least try putting on shows that are actually better than the ones you critcise being run by the bbboc. and before you say there are shows that bad run by bbboc you might be right there could be some but plesase send me a link to any show that the mbc has run that has had good 50/50 fight or a competative fights and not just blow outs.
Although you can gladly come and watch them spar then you can post your apology
as for going to your gym i can see enough good fighters at gyms near me and the coaches dont speak the crap that you do about your own fighters. anyone that you train or comes to your gym for sparring etc are always brilliant and you tell anyone that will listen. ill judge mohammad when i see him in the ring against a live opponent.
Re: MALTA BOXING COMMISSION - UK, SCOTLAND & IRELAND SANCTIONING
Do people on here have issues with the MBC fighters or the organisation MBC ? If they pass the medicals and the right doctor's are there and they can hold a conversation saying they want to fight and are passionate about the sport. Let them get on with it. If they arnt hurting you dont be so negative about boxers fighting for titles with losing records. If it good enough for the Bronze masters so be.

That isn't quite right, the latest statement says that BBBoC licensed boxers can fight on MBC shows - meaning that the MBC will accept a BBBoC license - and that IF the BBBoC brings a boxer in for a disciplinary hearing and/or takes any action against that boxer the MBC will provide legal representation free of charge.Floyd the snake wrote:Billy Nelson will you be working Mohammad's corner on the MBC show ? that's what you should do then instead of making uncalled for comments like that, either way your opinion means nothing to me or Mohammad, but coaches your way haven't ad the success my gym has proberbly, well the talent that's sparred in my gym has been of the very top order in the UK so again I simply can't see your argumentboxing crazy wrote:i said basically, if he was that good of an amateur what is he doing fighting on this bill against a no hoper? surely you would want him in decent fights to help get him ranked with something? what will this fight do for him as a fighter? ill tell you nothing.billy nelson wrote:excuse me boxing crazy keep your idiotic thoughts to yourself, Mohammad is nobodies punchbag, mohamamad won the Asian games has a youth and won 106/109 amateur fights, how you can make any assessment of my boxers sparring without even seeing it is totally out of order.boxing crazy wrote:dw and luca di caro you have done well to get this much replies on your mickey mouse organisation. stick to your kickboxing, mma and your white collar shows that dont mean poo and please dont spoil the sport i love anymore. i was offered free tickets to the show in wishaw and refused them.

billy maybe my comments are uncalled for but you are so far up your own arse that you are very derogetary to other coaches. you did very well with ricky but maybe you should wait till you have other champions at that level before you start acting like the jose mourinho of boxing lol you seem to forget that most boxers that train at your gym leave very quickly.ricky burns your 1 success story but left then willie limond, rhys pagan, steve simmons, john simpson, mick roberts to name a few hasnt ally black left you too? if you were the coach you think you are why did these guys all leave you? think about that one mate.
just because people come sparring in your gym doesnt mean anything, you dont train them and only see them for the time they are there. you told us that tyrone nurse was the next big thing because he sparred well with ricky look how that turned out! i also notice your list of great sparring partners were all ones who sparred with ricky. where are the ones sparring brophy, mohammad, slowey?
billy your comments about other coaches are shocking!!!!! i know coaches who have taken kids from 10 years to commonwealth gold, they dont enjoy the professional game so wont turn boys over. is that any less of an achievement than what you did with ricky? id love to see you bring a boxer from start to finish to see how good you really are instead of picking up fighters that have already been trained to a high standard in the first place and were good enough to turn pro or youve sold them a story about turning over.

What's this topic moved onto now?
Oh, and good point by someone before. Do people have an issue with the MBC the org., or the fighters?

Willie I couldn't go to Mexico 2 week before his fight coz I had Ricky fighting for world title andt we agreed he needed someone there so I told him he'd need to get a new coach
Rhys is a cracking lad who wanted to rush things it backfired he's lost twice in a short career but he's a very good fighter and young enough
Me and big Steve just had a fall out in the gym, the big man uses my gym regular when he need to spar David or mo and uses gym when he's not in Spain with Danny
John Simpson left the gym purely at the time coz it was too expensive to travel to glasgow, john and I speak regular and were excellent friends and always will be
Michael left the gym I know why but won't go into it
Ally black hasn't been training for 4 weeks and because of work commitments he only ever made the gym a max 3 days a week I called his manager to say he'd be as well getting a new coach who could accommodate him so my time can be with those who are in the gym on a full time basis, no fall out what so ever with ally he's a very good kid who needs to decide if he wants to be a boxer or not

So are you with MBC billy?
I read that Derry Mathews may be a MBC supporter on Facebook.

Would love to see either IFL tv or buncey interview gianluca on the topic. Also get fwanks opinion following the Luxembourg thing.
Re: MALTA BOXING COMMISSION - UK, SCOTLAND & IRELAND SANCTIONING
Yeah it would be fascinating to get established characters within the game to give there opinions.kamicazze wrote:Would love to see either IFL tv or buncey interview gianluca on the topic. Also get fwanks opinion following the Luxembourg thing.
Could it work for the two organisations to merge. MBC gives semi pros a taste of the game. The amateur circuit is totally different style to pro so when you turn over your adapting and learning all over again. Interesting debate.

What do people make of the new 'novice pro' thing that MBC have launched?

I do not agree with it. I think 4x3 mins should be standard for novices. I don't agree with lowering the round duration.

What was the reason the EBU kicked out the Luxembourg Fed?

The 2 minute rounds are nothing new, it is not unusual to see 4 x 2s or 6 x 2s though I do personally agree that 3 minute rounds should be the set length for pro bouts.dw01 wrote:leejonesjnr wrote:What do people make of the new 'novice pro' thing that MBC have launched?

The BBBoC permit 2 minute rounds for pro's??
Re: MALTA BOXING COMMISSION - UK, SCOTLAND & IRELAND SANCTIONING
Actually, just checked it. I didn't realise the BBBoC allowed 2 minute rounds.
So, my renewed clarity on the situation:
I'm pro MBC as far as licensing goes as I don't agree with a monopoloy.
I'm anti-2 minute rounds in the pro game. But seeing as it's also BBBoC permitted, then i suppose the MBC aren't doing anything 'out of the ordinary' so to speak.
I'm certainly anti new titles in pro boxing. I don't see a need for MBC titles, particularly in 'novice-pro' divisions. What's the point?

Seems like it. I would like to know what the given reason was though.
Re: MALTA BOXING COMMISSION - UK, SCOTLAND & IRELAND SANCTIONING
Interesting. This going back a few years complaining about mismatching on BBBoC sanctioned events.

Yeah there's no doubt about that. I think the criticism lays in there not having been a competitive MBC show yet. We know bbb of c have mismatches but they often have competitive cards too.

And in all fairness, it's the promoter's job to matchmake. You'll always get occasional mismatches.
I'm quite excited to see how the MBC develops in the UK. I think it's going to open the floodgates for others to compete for the UK market too.
