Wach-Price on June 6th!

Post by tomek0412 »

What a fantastic fight just announced by promoter of Wach. :yay:
Both fighters have own weakness.
Wach:Very slow and less technical skilled
Price:Very chinny and less conditioned

But both are very tall, over 200cm and have a huge punch.but only one can take a punch.
I hope that will be a 12 rounder bout and the vacated EBU will be on the line. :box:

One of the best punches in the division vs one of the best chins. Price is significantly faster and more skilled, but will his fragility show again if he can't get Wach, who has some decent power of his own in the right hand, out of there?

Very interesting match-up and the division would be better off with more of these fights :bag:

Price "should" get an easy decision but if slow, average hitting Thompson can cause Price a panic attack, slow, big-hitting Wach will as well.

OK, someone help me out here.

I need to watch this why?

Both guys need wins over someone else better if they want a title shot.

Fighting each other gains them NO GROUND as far as the top guys in division.

This is a waste of time.

Wach has enough power to get Price out of there but I dont think he is a bigger puncher then Thompson. He is certainly much less savvy. I would take Price by points win. Anyway, this is a good fight, the winner should get in the mix at the near top level.

Price's people are crazy to be putting him in with this rock-headed mountain. As soon as Price realises he can't put a dent in Wach his confidence will be shot and he'll get knocked out.

Bad choice of an opponent for Price.

Like Tony Thompson, Wach is slow but very tough & durable and can punch hard.

When Price gets tired in the middle rounds, Wach will knock him out.

Unless Wach has gotten old over night, or lost all of his chin....

This will be the worst possible match up for Price.

The thing is Price has to be put in with someone capable of threatening him at some point. If he stays within his comfort zone forever he'll never achieve anything and he'll never know what he could've achieved.

i agree Ian, he's 32 in a few months as well, arguably coming into his peak as a heavy.

This is a terrible match up for Price. Wach is all wrong for David. Wach ko.

Wach is still a credible opponent in the HW division. His only loss has come from Klitschko. Price is done, and gains nothing from this even if he wins.

True mate. But there's stepping out of your comfort zone and there's picking one of the worst possible style match-ups for not a great reward. I reckon it's more likely to be Chisora, which I guess is still progress.

That's dumb. Any time fighters of equal rank meet-up, it's an opportunity for one of them to move-up the ranks.

This fight has less relevance in boxing than the last guy taken in the NFL draft has to pro football.

NO ONE will move up the ranks by winning this fight, since neither guy is anywhere near title contention.

It is a classic example of a lose/lose for both men.
