Tell you what I would like to see Tony Luis over here again.

No excuses we have loads of fighters at this weight class. He would be ideal for Crollas comeback if Hearn thinks Crolla will win a world title.

Third card was a bit wide but I have no complaints with 114-112, really close fight.

115-112 Tony Luis,I never gave Mathews a round after 5,I thought he dropped the work rate too much and allowed Luis to bully him even when he wasn't landing clean he was busier, Derry's legs seem to go midway through the fight and he held too much for me,some close rounds though and I'm glad Mathews got it

Kudos to Luis, that was a hard night works for the 3 men in that ring tonight

Worst for Luis was a draw. Real shame.

Close fight with Derry probably landing the cleaner shots but Luis just kept coming and outworked him IMO. Didn't keep a score but reckon Luis nicked it by a point or 2. Cracking little fighter.

Luis is a classy guy, best post-fight interview I've heard in a long time.

Luis was happy to use the head, forearm and elbow, as well as punching after the break, both fighters were fouling throughout the fight.

Hope Mathews gets Perez for the full WBA belt.

We could have 3 of 4 belts at lightweight.

Mitchell fights for the WBC in a few weeks and Flanagan is mandatory for the WBO belt

How do you score the round where they both got -1 pt ?
and is it a '10 pt must' ?
If you think it's a draw you score 10-10, then -1 each so 9-9, but one guy has to get 10 ?!
Never understood the rule; seems to be open to much interpretation and probs what sneaked Derry over the line.

ie dodgy reffing gives Derry a 10-8 for winning the round -1 pt each and then 10 pt must, so it's 10-8 ?

The rounds still scored 10-9, 10-10 or however, but a -1 goes in the deductions column on the scorecard, so it reads 10(-1)-9(-1), effectively 9-8.

I gave it 9-9,regardless of the deductions I thought it was an even round

You're wrong mate. Us fans want to see him again and no matter what, the home fighter will get the decision, so everyone's a winner - except Luis that is.
