Slighty off topic - I remember Alex Ferguson was being acused of something when Man U played somewhere in Africa lol. Absolute rubbish. That is why it is disgusting that names are announced right away. should be anonymous until conviction. However, when that is said, you get some 'victim support group worker' basically coming on SKY News saying there is no smoke without fire, so screw them.

There is an ongoing dilution effect, so many high profile men are accused and then nothing comes of it, it's splashed all over the media. Not sure if the politicians will ever have the balls to stand up to the lobby which resists the common sense call of keeping the accused anonymous until the trial is over, but regardless of that, I do think there is a general dilution of just how serious these reports are now taken. I would guess cynicism has never been higher.
