I discovered something, this could change it all!!!

Post by Chepppaaa »

lets get it clear, if i had to choose who is going to win, i said floyd mayweather.

but i discovered something interresting. floyd has a great condition, but dude isnt 29 anymore and what i discovered is that he needs many chill outs, where he simply leans on the ropes and safes energy. energy he later needs for moving around or circling etc.

what i found interresting is, that against the slow maidana (yes he is slow footwork wise compared to pac), floyd realy needed a lot of moments to just relax and take his time on the ropes.

what i wounder is, if a slow maidana can work floyd condition and make him pause, by punching wilding and coming forward, how will floyd condition react to a boxer, who is the combination of 2 guys he arguably was close to losing, even in his prime. pacquiao got judah kind of speed (hand and foot) and maidana kind of power. so how is floyds great condition react to pacs passing.

i mean, it totaly is gonne come down to if manny realy goes for the kill, because if he is the nice manny and does be aggressiv, than he is gonne be technicly outskilled, by the technical superior boxer.

so, my final question is, how is floyds condition be and how many chill moments (like he had against maidana, with maidana than unleashing hooks on em) and how is that gonne affect the fight, because i expect floyd to have a similar condition he had against maidana, because for maidana he was training hard, its not like he took him lightly!?

i think floyd's stamina is just fine and will
be no factor whatsoever, especially since
he hardly will make the fight.

IMO it boils down to whether manny can
connect with anything within the first three.

but if a slow maidana can get close to floyd and basicly work his condition, than what can a man do with pacquiaos kind of footspeed?

but its true, can he deliver fast combo or accurate punches to oppenings, weather its body or head. i expect a lot of those left crosses from pacquiao, or the hatton like left hook...

maidana fought with all tricks in the book
and came from very weird angles. i think
it is much more this than anything else that
made him look good against floyd. it was
definitely not his speed.

i do not think the conclusion of marcos being
mediocre thus floyd has lost it does hold any
water. i think floyd is closer to his prime than
manny plus he is the defender and those age
slower than the aggressors.

so you think floyd having many pauses was not a problem of him being exhausted and that he wont be more exhausted with the speedyer manny?

i mean the dream scenario for manny would be to chase him down and realy test floyds condition and when close unleash tricky shots all over the place similar to what maid did.

mmhh......wounder what will happen, realy a close fight.

no, i don't. floyd is a very economic fighter
and trusts his defensive skills enough to not
get nervous being cornered. don't ask me how
he can do what no one else seems to be able
to do, but i doubt it is anything else but a
conscious decision if he pauses.

I think I agree that Floyd was winded in the first fight, he did look worn but it was as clear as day that he came in far better condition for the rematch than he did in the first fight.

What should also be clear is that the Floyd that will be facing Manny will be the best conditioned version of him that we've ever seen, he won't be tired no matter what, he looks absolutely ripped, even when they did the commercial you could tell that Mayweather had been in the gym already and Manny looked softer than the Pillsbury Doughboy.

Floyd has also went back to his roots, chopping wood and doing things that are so basic in fundamentals that it is likely he is going over all details with a fine toothed comb and not missing dotting one I or crossing one T.

I think we are going to see a clinic and there is nothing in this post that is going to be same about Floyd then and now.

Yeah well I heard Manny has moved to Siberia, is chopping wood, outrunning KGB minders in a slightly odd coat and leggings combo, mountain running, lifting people in a cart, listening to cheesy 80s soft metal, growing a beard and has even put up a picture of Floyd which he intends to stare at and eventually crush.

the condition question is way to important.

on top, what does it bother you? normaly there is not much going on this boring forum and for ones people are excited and make a lot of threads than you come and downplay it.

Good original post, I agree that Manny presents many of the same stylistic problems for Floyd that Judah did and that he is much quicker of hand and foot than Maidana. However, I don't think Manny actually hits as hard as Maidana and possibly not as hard as Judah either - he's a huge puncher at lower weights, but not at welterweight. Also, Maidana had a significant weight and strength advantage over Mayweather that Manny will not have, which I believe was a major factor in his success in the first fight.

I''ve been saying it from the start but this fight is going to be won in the gym well before May 2nd. Who put the best work in prior and who has the best game plan going in. I think Floyd flat out lies about not watching film on fighters. I can guarantee that he's seen every one of Manny's last 10 fights an paid the most attention to the JMM KO. Why did Manny get in that position late in the round? Make no mistake about it, Floyd is going for a KO this time around. The chopping wood, the increase focus on power, everyone feels Manny's ripe for a KO because he's been KOd before.

If boxers truly avoid utilizing tape of past fights then they are pretty stupid. It's like getting a look at the test before having to take it.

Manny has really good snap on his punches, it's not so much the force it's that he gets to the target fast and punches through it all the way. But his power may be handled fine, Floyd is tough. The darting in and out and the quick return fire may be harder to deal with. Angles and feints are gonna be crucial to what happens, I think anyway.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that Pacquiao is a solid welterweight puncher, but his record show's he isn't the KO puncher at welterweight that he was in lighter weight classes. You don't need a lot of power to mark up someone's face - volume can do that and Manny landed in high volume against Margarito. The Mosley fight surprised me, seeing as Shane has a great chin, Manny definitely shook him up badly with the knockdown.

What's so shocking about beating up and knocking down a shopworn 40 plus year old man who was all but KO'd in a fight with Mayweather, taken to life and death with Mora, all I see is typical Manny Pacquiao Cherrypicking, the same as he did with many others.

Manny hit Algieri with everything but the kitchen sink and still couldn't KO him, he hit Rios with the kitchen sink and Brandon just took it like a champ, kept coming forward with a smile.

As you stated, you don't need a lot of power to mark up someone's face, even pillow punching Chris Byrd was able to mark up a few heavyweights.

There's nothing in Manny's arsenal that will concern Floyd, he isn't a one punch KO artist, isn't tall, doesn't have the reach advantage and is slower with less of a chin and defense than Floyd.

Ask Cotto who hit harder, Manny or Judah. Or ask Morales who hits harder, Manny or Maidana. I think it's largely forgotten that Maidana did fight Morales and struggled greatly in that fight when he had an opportunity in the first three rounds to stop him. Morales even stunned Maidana late in the fight.

Well they may have "ruffled" TBE's feathers but we know that Torrecampo, Singsurat and Marquez absolutely left Manny on the canvas face down or curled up like a curly fry.

That was absolutely a dumb thing for you to use as your examples. Mine are far superior, which would you rather be? The man who got splattered on the canvas 3 times, or a man who has barely gotten ruffled?

LOL to the so called "BLUEPRINT" when they both lost, one by KO and the other by UD regardless of what the BS cards showed and all the UFC-like tactics.

If those are the blueprints then we really don't have much to be concerned with because Manny isn't big enough to bully Floyd around, lol one more time for the "BLUEPRINT".
