i believe the reason why maidana did better than
canelo was that floyd's boxing brain could not figure
out some of the absurdity of his opponent, like these
vertical hooks. not that the were terribly effective
by themselves, but they kept floyd's brain busy.

castillo, oscar, shane and maidana couldn't close the
deal, but they showed that floyd is not ... invincible.

Yeah it's hard to be invincible when you are supposed to be boxing and someone else is doing MMA.
Like when Floyd throws elbows on opponents in every other fight?

I've never seen him "THROW" an elbow, I've seen him raise it up to create space but never actually throw it with intentions of hurting someone with it. If you have seen it then please post up the GIF here.

BTW, that was a poor way to excuse Maidana for all of the MMA tactics he used their first fight. You're pretty pathetic to bring that up and with no proof.

Floyd will catch him, but, he doesn't really sell out on his punches the way that JMM does.

He's at a disadvantage in size. Mayweather is also more versatile. He has more than one way to win.

Pac's best chance is to win on sheer volume and not get dropped. I can imagine him winning but it's a long shot.

I agree with this. I never thought Pac could outbox Mayweather, or KO him. But but after the Clottey fight, I remember thinking that's how he has to do it. Shut Mayweather down by throwing so many punches. I'm sure his connect would be low but win the close rounds.

I realize May wouldn't Turtle up and much as Clottey, but he does like to lean on the ropes and roll/block punches.

Anyway, the days of Manny thowing 1k+ punches are long gone so I guess it doesn't matter now.

I just don't see Mayweather losing. He's too slick and too big. He'll box and move for about 7 rounds, then Pac will start getting too wild (knowing that he's losing), and Mayweather may connect with a great counter and knock him out. Or just keep moving and win decision.

If it was a street fight, no doubt that Pac would win. But, this is boxing and Mayweather has all of the tools of the sweet science.

i think it will be entertaining simply because every
pac fight is entertaining. somehow it is still hard to
believe this actually takes place in a week from now.

i would love if it was exciting but end in a SD.
