No worries mate, you're doing a good job!
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
Scrolling through Super 8 and Will Quarrie Facebook pages, it looks like he has accepted a fight against Izu Ugonoh on the Invercargill undercard. Have you heard if it's legit Benny?

You're welcome young man. Industry needs young blood in the game to survive. It can't survive on guys that are old enough to be my father....and I'm 67.bennyaha1 wrote:Im very much looking forward to itAntonS wrote:Ben did well. NZPBA is more than happy with his 1st effort. I'm not directing my comment to any regulator in any country.
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
after doing 30 events I might try Oz
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
Off hand, in OZ there's only handful officials that are no younger than 30+
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
gets as much experience as I can
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
I think ya understood me. 30 fights & not 30 shows. In Oz 30 fights can be achieve 3/4 shows ;;-)bennyaha1 wrote:after doing 30 events I might try Oz
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
pro fights or pro and corporate
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
Only Pro boxing. In couple of States, corporate bouts are disallowed.bennyaha1 wrote:pro fights or pro and corporate
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
so 6 Duco Events or 4 Super 8 Events or 15 local events
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
It depends on NZPBA. Personally, it shouldn't take corporate bouts into consideration because in my opinion they are nothing short of tent fights and possibly pre arranged outcome, therefore what is the point judging them?bennyaha1 wrote:so 6 Duco Events or 4 Super 8 Events or 15 local events
Pre arranged outcome = Corners.......nothing to do with judges.
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
and that is to assum i did all the fights on the card
Re: Boxing Events Updates in NZ
I assumed Pat was only referring to pro bouts.bennyaha1 wrote:and that is to assum i did all the fights on the card
However, no drama. It's all part of training.
