Edis Tatli V Yvan Mendy
Anyone know the result of this fight tonight from Finland I think Tatli will win a clear pts decision going by recent form
Re: Edis Tatli V Yvan Mendy
It's an EBU title fight, scheduled start in about half an hour. There is a WBC World female title fight in the same event just before the other one.

do you have a link you could send me or could you keep me updated on the tatli fight?
Re: Edis Tatli V Yvan Mendy
I've been trying to find one myself, but I can't even spot anyone providing live commenting on it. The best I have are updates after each fight, and all that is in Finnish.

What happened with Marsili? Did he pull out and was he stripped of the European?

any news on the fight yet?
Re: Edis Tatli V Yvan Mendy
Very cautious first 2 rounds. Tatli started well in the first half, but Mendy has been winning rounds. Round 9.

cmon tatli pull away in the closing rounds lol
Re: Edis Tatli V Yvan Mendy
Tatli seems to have longer reach, so Mendy is doing these annoying sprints at him. Mendy fights better in close range though. It's a very even fight. Our Finnish commentators are unable to tell who won each round. They say it could go either way. The start of the fight was slow, but now they are both taking higher and higher risks. Round 11 ending, then final round.

Re: Edis Tatli V Yvan Mendy
surely if its close tatli should get it as he is the home fighter
Re: Edis Tatli V Yvan Mendy
Both Mendy and Tatli raised their hands in the air after the bell after Round 12.
Yes, close fights usually favor the homeboy..

Mendy's supporters seem to think their boy got robbed.. Well, this title fight had international judges.
Re: Edis Tatli V Yvan Mendy
After the fight, Tatli said that while doing the final warm up just 20 minutes before the fight, he got pains in his right fist that was originally injured during sparring sessions few weeks ago. They had to use anesthetics, and he wasn't using his right much in the fight.
