timing out on the new site
Since we have moved to this new set up, the British & Irish forum logs you out if you have been inactive too long
I just discovered this also happens if you are writing a lengthy post and take to long doing it.
I just attempted to start a new thread with a lengthy opening piece and when I hit submit it asked me to log in, when I tried to go back to retrieve my post it had gone.
I am now fcuking raging.
Could the admins see if there is a setting for how quickly the site logs you out?

Re: timing out on the new site
If it's long & takes time, knock it up on doc & paste it in here
Re: timing out on the new site
Or just fix the site so people can post more than 140 characters without having to log back in every bloody time
it's a poor set up and there must be something in the setting of the site that can be changed to allow posters a reasonable amount of time to write longer posts
If I have to open a word document every time i feel like a rant I'll find another forum to post on
Anyway, better stop rambling now before i time out again![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)

Care to consider persons that try to access the site/forum while you're hogging it knocking-up a novel?

Relax, don't do it.
Just copy your essay then paste it and go through it.

Re: timing out on the new site
on iphone, you have to now auto fill password every time when you log on, is this same issue ?
Re: timing out on the new site
Checked with the boss & he confirmed "timing out" doesn't exist, therefore stuff-up at his end.
