The guy is delusional:

I want to fight 3 times this year. I'll fight anyone in the 168 pound weight class. I don't think anyone can beat me at 168 pounds!,
Of course if he means middleweights fighting him at 168, then he can beat shot ones like Macklin. Murray would be tougher to handle, and somebody like Eubank Jr. could kick his ass.

This reminds me of the Roberto Duran's "No Mas'" situation. Roberto Duran thought his fans would still worship his every step even after quitting in the ring versus Ray Leonard and when he stepped out of that plane in Panama City, they threw tomatoes at him. JCCJR at least took one heck of a beating before quitting but you can't be Mexican and expect fans to forget you asked out of a fight...that's if you're just a Mexican fighter, not the son of the greatest Mexican fighter in the history of the sport.

My best guess is that they'll be doing stories about this kid on VH1 where he's sharing a flat with Willis from Different Strokes and Vanilla Ice, sniffing glue and shooting up. Al Haymon's got to be saying enough. I don't even think Bob Arum would take him back and Arum would have a stroke if lost a few quarters from an unknown hole in his pocket. This kids lack of training for fights, the DWI during training camp, getting caught smoking weed and now quitting on live TV. Then he has the BALLS to hold a grudge against his father, who allowed his son to live in mansions and never work a day in his life. I can't stand this kid. I am forever a Fonfara fan for giving me the best gift of 2015. The look on Jr's face when he was on the way down to the canvas will lift my spirits on the darkest of days.

Good riddance Jr. You piece of garbage. Millions of kids would die to be in your position, you spoiled punk. So go away and get a haircut and complain to some more refs. Your main event days are done AMIGO.

His foray up to LHW is disastrous, so he decides he's gonna go back to fighting MWs, except he only wants to fight them at the SMW weight limit. Utterly ridiculous.

Yes, he will now keep fighting variations of Vera at higher weights: 168 if he can make it, 170, 172, etc.
