The Bingham v Jackson bout is a shootout, Derek Wormold was a tough lad and competitive, he did himself proud after getting stopped quickly by Stretch; I wonder if Derek still goes to the Northern Soul nighters, he used to love that scene.

dunno if its the same one i already seen on sykes.
fascinating and articulate at times when he was filmed in prison, but a drunk lunatic out of it.
stories of him raping young prisoners inside and outside getting barred from the whole of wakefield cause he was spitting in peoples drinks in pubs and drinking their drinks and pissing in letterboxes so he could get sent back inside.....he even got beat up by a gang of 15 year olds or thereabouts near the end of his days...or so legend has it.
his short boxing career, which came too late in his life, was overrated....they even had flyers made up of him as britans next heavyweight world champion.

Its the docu you have seen Doug. I have come across many people in my line of work that has associated or known Sykes when he was alive most stories are the same but some are quite sad. Both his sons in prison for murder I believe. Its a shame as Paul Sykes was a character. Neil Malpass (Enigma on here) fought him too. If you are reading this Neil (Enigma) whats your take on him?

Steve Williams ex jockey from Mansfield now a fireman I believe, my cousins husband is also an ex jockey and best mate of Williams. i met him at their wedding in Doncaster many years ago. I always rooted for Williams, this fight could have gone the distance but his corner took him out with an eye cut. Not sure how the cars were going at that point.

Francis in this fight sold his soul to The Mirror litterally. IMO he knew from the off he was going down.
