Recording allegedly HD
Has anyone else had problems recording allegedly's HD channel using Sky+?
I tried to manually record the Klitschko fight this weekend, but the recording (while taking up space) wouldn't play.
I recorded some HD shows from Sky Sports channels and they worked fine.

Can't say I've experienced that problem but I do find it strange that when I hit the record button it takes me through the enter pin page like it's ppv, wish they would just let us hit the series link buttonWake up call wrote:Has anyone else had problems recording allegedly's HD channel using Sky+?

I always record both the HD and non-HD channels , so I have a backup. Usually I've nothing else recording at the time it's on... so there's no clash.
Re: Recording allegedly HD
When I set the channel for record it normally asks me to put in the password that I would normally use for box office and then it seems to record ok.
Re: Recording allegedly HD
Yeah. I tried to record from the online sky website once. It attempted to, but failed. Presumably because there was no way it could go through the PIN code check it does when you set it to record directly using the box.BillyTKid wrote:When I set the channel for record it normally asks me to put in the password that I would normally use for box office and then it seems to record ok.

When i put mine on next day it had a picture of Klitcho and was staying on Play but not going up as if it was faulty but i stopped it and then fast forwarded ect and it started moving ,
ultimatily i ended up fast forwarding through the whole show apart from i watched most of the Sadam Ali fight

yes I had same problem, think it might be a storage issue on Sky+ box - go to Planner section on Sky+ menu, scroll left and there's a deleted programs section, empty that and it should work ok.
Re: Recording allegedly HD
I'm not sure you can do a manual record on allegedly HD because to record it you need to enter your pin as if you were buying a PPV.

Yeah you can't anymore. I used to add about 4 hours manually onto the end each time, as they used to have problems with the recordings cutting off early when a show overran. Luckily they've fixed this issue now.MattCoke wrote:I'm not sure you can do a manual record on allegedly HD because to record it you need to enter your pin as if you were buying a PPV.

Yeah I did a manual record for that same reason. I'll just record it regularly this week.Boxerbeetle wrote:Yeah you can't anymore. I've had issues too, whenever I tried to record it on HD my Sky box would freeze and I would have to reboot it. Now it seems ok but I'm reluctant to record on HD in case it crashes the box again and doesn't record. On HD it too asks me for my pin which I can't understand as its free as a subscriber?

I've recorded twice from the SKY site and wondered why it failed, now I knowBenelio wrote:Yeah. I tried to record from the online sky website once. It attempted to, but failed.
