Leapai late replacement to fight Charr

Post by Like a Boss »

Alex Leapai has been called in as a late replacement to fight Manuel Charr on May 22.

Good opportunity for Leapai all be it on short notice. But a win would be significant for him and a loss perhaps the end for him.

It's a fight he has to take in his position but he better give it away after he gets beat.

why should he retire?

atm he has only one more loss than Manny Pacquiao.

Pavel Siska, Martin Stensky or Dan Carr should retire maybe.

but still plenty of good options for alex win or loss in this fight.

Leapai vs Charr will be on the undercard of Alexander Povetkin vs Mike Perez.

Leapai had 2 options in my mind.

Take a fight like Charr who if he beats gives him a good platform to launch into another big fight. He has time to train even if it is shortish notice.

OR

Try the Foreman route of knocking over 5-6 tomato cans and wait for the big fight to come around while building up the confidence and bolstering the record.

End of the day the Charr fight is in my opinion the better way to go. IF you loose to Charr then really your days at that level are over and if the Meunir fight is still on the table then take it and ideally winning that you have Browne and Parker locally which would be big fights and decent $$$.

Because if he keeps getting beat up like his last 2 fights he'll go down the Katsidis path........... He got his pay day against Klit, he's never going to earn close to that so if you string 3-4 losses in a row the pay days are going to be nothing, what's the point going on getting brain damage.

This fight, even on short notice, is too good an opportunity to pass up.

Keeping source secretive is a good policy, but no harm flogging it on eBay

Credit to Leapai for taking the fight. Plenty at stake for him though. Fortunately he's already has the big payday against Wlad.

What about when Angelo Dundee yelled to Sugar Ray Leonard - "You're blowing it kid".

I think this fight was wrong timing
Leapai need a couple of easy fights to give him confidence
to get off his losing streak
not to say he is going to win or lose his next fight
but still be a good idea
