18 year old debutant, with no amateur experience and one unlicensed fight, may have had a couple more since this site was updated http://robinhoodboxing.com/garfield-mushore/ and has been boxing for no more than a year, fighting a 28 year old, with 21 fights and 7 years as a professional behind him, including a couple of Welsh title fights. If this is true it's an absolute disgrace.

Come on Luca, help me out a little ......

I have been arguing the toss on behalf of the likes of the MBC to put pressure on the BBBofC as a catalyst for change, but there is no defending matchmaking like that.

If the website is up to date this is a young lad who only recently took up boxing ?

Spotted him previously when he was due to make his debut elswhere.

Managed by Matt Scriven..

Im assuming he must have had some before he came to england because if not, even if hes going the journeyman route its poor matchmaking

I would love to see Luca/rio on buncey's boxing hour with buncey asking him the right questions.

This match is hard to defend, but garfields an unknown entity. Surely won't be worse than some of those Latvians that came across years ago

I think thats a valid point. Some of the Latvians/Hugarians/Georgians/Lithianians that come over here are truly dreadful. It would be interesting to know what their win record is in maybe the last 12 months is. Surely about 95% loss rate.

Can only judge by the site I posted, Matt Scriven's profile says he's had 101 fights, he's had 103 so that suggests it was updated in early November. In it he says he's had 1 fight, has been boxing for 7 months and his next fight's in Mansfield December 14th. Probably had another unlicensed fight to go with that one since, giving him 3 fights and 12 months in boxing unless there's something he hasn't mentioned on there.

See, some of us told you that the MBC are clueless and are staging fights that are potentially dangerous.

id suggest that not only mbc shouldnt allowe him to box yet but that as his manager Scriven should be seeing him as more that a few quid in his pocket

Look at that the fight on the bill between Agadzhanyan and that Czech fella.

The Czech has been KOed all five of his fight, four of them in the first round. Shocking.

Jerome Haywood is fighting a bloke who hasn't boxed for 14 years and was stopped in all nine of his defeats.

I was at the MBC show on Saturday and I don't think the situation is as cut and dried as some are suggesting. With regard to the card, other then the first fight I thought it was a fairly normal small-hall standard. My only real complaint was that every contest was basically prospect v journeymen. At a Goodwin or Helliet or Carter type show you usually get a load of those and then a more competitive top-of-the-bill bout.

My full report is here

http://instantboxing.com/turley-on-tues ... e-know-it/

for anyone interested. Also conducted a fascinating interview with Rio Di Caro, which helped shed light on a few things for me. Will write that up on the same page for next Tuesday.

To be fair, I thought that Luca answered every question put to him in full and was very eloquent in the face of personal abuse.

I think that he just got fed up answering the same questions over and over again and receiving abuse that he gave it up as a bad job and went outside to piss in the wind as that was more constructive.

I have commented on the initial matchmaking - not sure why this particular fight did not go ahead in the end, however reading the report of the bill it sounds like a regular small hall boxing show to me.

For those who are moaning, would you be moaning if this was a BBBofC show ? - if not, why not ?

If so, then why don't you also moan about the BBBofC shows ?
