Pac roughs Floyd up a bit but decides to pull his punches

The reason why Floyd doesn't want to deal with Bob Arum is the fact that he wanted to talk to Manny personally to "stage" the fight. Mark, this fight is fixed. Floyd is so sure to win this fight that even 50 cent is betting $1.6 million on Floyd to beat Manny. Manny has a huge tax obligation back home amounting to more than a billion peso and the only way he could pay it is to fight Floyd. Floyd knows this and took advantage of it.
The only way Pacquiao defeats Floyd is to bum rush and pepper him with punches. But Manny's not going to do that. Come fight night, both fighters will dance to Floyd's choreography - and throw punches just enough to fool the paying public into thinking that the fight was close or exciting enough to merit a rematch.
Manny's chances of beating Floyd is zero because he has now put his greed for money, fame and power above glory. Boxing has given him so much but in return he turned his back on it(by indulging in politics, showbiz, etc). That's why the gods of boxing punished him with that knockout against Marquez.
No matter how many dream about Manny beating Floyd, reality is that, it's all written in stone - Floyd will beat Pacquiao on May 2nd - and that's coming from a staunch, diehard, Filipino Pacquiao fan

You know KBB, I agree with your boxing assessments a lot of times, but the shit you post like above is the most fornicating irritating ever. Find at least somewhat of a normal behavior or I have a feeling you will be gone. Maybe its just me though....KBB wrote:bnovelist wrote:Bernie Villorente · Top Commenter

Re: Mayweather v Pac , How will the first 6 rounds play out?
This conspiracy crap that the fight is fixed is complete nonsense. It's a built in excuse for when Floyd wins, nothing more. This fight isn't going to be fixed, both guys are going to show up on May 2nd in top form to put up the fight of their lives. It just so happens that Floyd is going to neutralize a lot of what Pacquiao does well and will give people the feeling we aren't watching the same Pacquiao. It's like people here know this so it will be easy at the end of the day to discredit Floyds victory because he will once again make it look easy.
As far as responding to the OP. I think the first 2 or 3 rounds will be feel out rounds, both guys trying to find their rhythm and range. Pacquiao will find some success early, getting off a few combinations and getting the crowd riled up while not landing anything real significant. Floyd will then make adjustments like he always does around the 4th or 5th round (at this point the fight will probably be about even on the score cards), Floyd will then have Pacquiao timed and begin hitting Pacquiao more and more consistently with counter straight right hands and check left hooks. As the fight goes on Pacquiao will be less and less likely to try and engage because nothing will work and every thing he does he will pay for (and yes he will respect Floyds power). At that point it will be all Floyd by the 6th round and Floyd will either turn it up and go for a knock out or cruise to a 8-4 round type decision.
Like I've said before, when the fight is all said done the ending will more than likely be very anti-climatic. Most will be scratching their head wondering why we were even clamoring for this fight and crying fix because once again Floyd will beat his so called conqueror. After Floyd beats Pacquiao, nothing is going to change. Floyds haters aren't going to give Floyd credit, as you can see almost all the Floyd detractors and Pacquiao fans are already making excuses by saying the fight will be fixed. It's a no win situation for Floyd, but at the end of the day it will be another win.

Re: Mayweather v Pac , How will the first 6 rounds play out?
I think Manny will be head after six, he will be super motivated and come out strong. Then I expect Floyd to start finding his range in the second half and take over, coming out with a decision with scores around 116-112 115-113
Re: Mayweather v Pac , How will the first 6 rounds play out?
the question is if pac can find him with anything
early on. if he does, then he wins. if he doesn't it
turns out to be very one sided against him.
floyd is among the least hit people ever on the
top level of boxing. i think there is a difference
to marquez who is very effective with immediate
counter punching, more so in my opinion than
floyd. manny got countered with as heavy hands
as he went in with against juan. i doubt this will
happen here, at least not early on.
all the offensive guys over the years tried to
overspeed floyd going in and simply could
not find him with their punches.
if manny cannot win the first two he cannot
win the fight. i guess he will be careful not
throwing anything meaningful in the first
two minutes, then two or three flurries in
the last sixty seconds and these will tell the
story of the night. if he only finds air, then
he is toast. if he wins the first two he could
still suffer the same fate as shane.

Re: Mayweather v Pac , How will the first 6 rounds play out?
I think Roach is right by saying Manny can't make any mistakes in this fight. He drops his hands often when he comes in to attack, and if his opponent goes into defense mode, Manny just squares up and unloads. I think that is the time when Floyd will make him pay with straight rights and left hooks. Jabs to the body will also be effective during the fight. If Floyd just lets him unload and lays on the ropes he will be in some trouble. I think he is smarter than that though.man wrote:the question is if pac can find him with anything

I think Manny Pacquiao will look to start fast and try and back Floyd Mayweather and force him out of his rhythem. However once Mayweather finds his rhythem he will look to counter Pacquiao as he comes in.

Check hook finish. Pac is finished and was never on Floyds level.

But he has more than Manny since 2009.
BooM!
Re: Mayweather v Pac , How will the first 6 rounds play out?
Very boring was the correct answer!
