117-111 Mayweather. Easy nights work, took 3 rounds off.

I don't even think Manny's mother thinks he won wide!jessi wrote:Who ever said manny wide, go and join the spec savers forum, who ever said manny close/draw watch the fight again sober !
Re: PBF v Pac who won?
I had it 118 -112 Mayweather. Was loathe to score some of the rounds to Mayweather where there was little action but he was still cleverly picking Pacquiao's pocket.
Re: PBF v Pac who won?
better fight than I thought it would be to be fair.I gave Pacquiao 3 rounds and that's being kind

That would be Kevin, as he's a member of this forum.jessi wrote:Who ever said manny wide, go and join the spec savers forum, who ever said manny close/draw watch the fight again sober !
He's got a iPad with a prescription lens on the screen so he can just about see the words.

I think this is a fair an honest opinion - I always watch floyd as a purist and enjoy it. However if that was that was the only type of boxing there was I'd get bored of the sport. I can certainly see why people would find last nights fight boring.TheCobra wrote:Floyd wide, boring fight and I don't particularly enjoy watching Mayweather fights as he's just too good defensively so it's pretty dull unless you are a total purist, which I'm not! Pacman couldn't get close, his little stubby arms winging away reminded me of the Hatton-Mayweather fight and it largely went the same way cept Hatton went gung ho at the end whereas Manny just seemed to stick to the same plan that wasn't working.
Manny was incredible poor, he didn't force the fight at all.

Anyone who thinks Floyd lost needs their head testing.
Completely schooled Pac from start to finish, anyone who disagrees I'll be happy to spar you.

I'd like to see it again and would probably score it differently but I had it 116-113, giving Pac a share of round 9.
I've never claimed to be spot on when it comes to scoring fights though...

I'm currently enjoying being heralded as a boxing visionary by my casual mates for correctly predicting a Mayweather points victory

Re: PBF v Pac who won?
I said close because I had Mayweather winning by three. I can see an argument for as little as two, because I only counted one telling shot from each man in the entire fight. I only ever keep a mental note of scoring, but I had several drawn rounds.
Thing is, Mayweather gave the impression throughout of a man who could've opened his legs and shown his class at almost any moment of his choosing. I didn't see him taking many rounds, but he certainly controlled at least nine of them.

I watched it with 5 guys,we are all big PAC fans who dislike FM. None of us had any complaints, he won 2 rounds for sure, 4 at the most. These people saying PAC won do not understand how a boxing match is scored.

Too many people get bogged down by Sky's deplorable commentry fawning over Floyd's elusiveness (legal and illegal). He offered nothing in the way of offense. Zero. By his own admission post fight he just kept moving and sticking the jab out. Defense accounrs for 1/4 of scoring. This is the fight game at the end of the day, not dressage or figure skating. It's time judges scored fights properly and reward action not inaction. if Pac employed the same tactics we'd have 12 rounds repeated of the first 3 mins of Haye v Audley.
Re: PBF v Pac who won?
I had Mayweather 118-110. He's was just too good defensively against Pac Man. He completely nullified Pacs offense. That being said it was a very boring fight to watch.

Re: PBF v Pac who won?
Scoring it at home, I had it 9 rounds to 3 for Floyd. That translates to being, 117-111. In reality, I was generous on giving three rounds to Manny, cus in my view he only won two rounds, with a third one being something of a toss up. Personally I don't know what there is to debate or to argue about. I know there are INSANE Pacman fans, but I'd like to know who the hell voted that Manny won on this poll. Just because a man lands ONE punch that hurt someone, doesnt mean they won anything. Especially when for most of the fight you got schooled every which way to Sunday.

You've listed 4 areas and Mayweather clearly excelled in 3 of the 4. Regarding aggression, it's not like manny was all out. He was flummoxedRicky_ wrote:DefenseNightmare Roy wrote:I watched it with 5 guys,we are all big PAC fans who dislike FM. None of us had any complaints, he won 2 rounds for sure, 4 at the most.
