his last defense against brian rose no less, and 11 months before that winning the title against vanes.
you're supposed to make a voluntary against a ranked guy and a mandatory against the #1 within
12 month of winning a title, MINIMUM! cotto going a year before defending against geale is bad
but floyd's 154 titles are worse, with only one catchweight fight in the division in 3 years.

I hope he gets a big fight soon. He called out Lara and Canelo. Canelo didn't want to fight and signed to fight Kirkland, who is even more inactive.
Lara said he didn't need to beat him again, reminding us that he beat him 8 yrs ago in the amateurs. He wanted to fight Charlo in January, and didn't want to in December because they only gave him 30 days notice and a low offer. Time to sign with Haymon I guess to get a fight.

He's not a draw and his two best wins are arguably over Vanes and Brian Rose, which isn't particularly impressive. Given this I don't see how $300k was a low offer, and I highly doubt that he's made near that during his recent stretch of inactivity.

He mentioned that it was too low, considering the short notice. It wasn't that he was ducking, just felt he deserved more money because it was short notice. He signed to fight Charlo in January, but Charlo wanted to fight Vanes instead.

He isn't a draw yet, true. How to you get to be a draw when you get turned down by top guys? Its not like Kirkland is a huge draw (Canelo's next opponent) or Vanes who Charlo fought. At least Andrade has a belt and brings more to the table as those guys did. Not being interested in a belt is a good excuse I guess. Canelo would actually have to make weight if he fought for a belt.

The rose fight WAS the mandatory...as disappointing as it sounds
