Agreed, he is excellent.

I'd agree, but it was the Floyd Mayweather show on Saturday, not his.

I pray to see him fight Golovkin, but apparently it is a fight that no-one wants to see

Apparently so ha ha,Don't start me on Froch,he is a tit, still going on about Taylor, who he was losing to by a mile,Taylor was never anything anyway at supermiddle.I started to watch the sky stuff thinking Carl was ok, until me mentioned Wembley then off went the telly.
The guy is a pratt. I think he is really insecure, so continually needs to big himself up, like he is justifying himself.

Shame when most of your fights were hidden away on a porn channel.

Question: Do you all sit there in your #RawGinger caps, mashing the keyboard whenever anything to do with Froch appears ? :D

I use to like Carl Froch, and supported him even since I saw him beat Pascal.

But unfortunately now for me he falls into that category that whoever he faces, I would love them to give him a good pasting. Even if it was Andre Ward.

He disgraced himself in the build up to both of the Groves fights, and then you still have to endure articles like this below. You could forgive him if he was in his early 20's and you may actually find it funny. But now his arrogance is unforgiven, and makes him look a prized t*at.

I thought he did well over in Vegas and you could see he felt it a privilege; I think he ought to get a regular spot, I imagine if he did he wouldn't feel the need to remind others of his achievements. Like GOmez said, he's going to wind George up every opportunity he gets.

I don't think it will wind Groves up though,it's Froch that can't get Groves out of his head ,despite winning both by stoppage Froch clearly wasn't better in either,he just got the wins.

It certainly worked though. I'm not getting your point in all this. I was at both fights and supporting Groves in both but you can't argue with the facts, especially the second fight. He knocked him out FFS! If the shrink helped 1%, it was money well spent. I feared for George a week or so before the fight. Froch never looked rattled in the slightest.

My point is this,Froch dismissed Groves first time round and stated many times that he doesn't belong in the same ring,Froch kept telling everyone he was elite and Groves hadn't done anything to deserve the fight then on fight night he was knocked down heavily in the first as predicted by Groves,Groves then went on to stun Froch several times and outbox him at times too and the ending was a shocker, then in the rematch it was pretty even until Froch ko'd him with a great right hand,so what i'm getting at is,Groves who wasn't worthy was in fact very worthy,Froch could not get Groves out of his head and had treatment for it prior to the rematch and has continually mentioned his name ever since at every opportunity, even on the biggest night in the history of boxing,he couldn't help himself.Yes he'll be very happy with the one punch ko,but underneath he knows there wasn't that much between them after all and it clearly bugs him

I honestly think Groves knew damned well that he was all over the gaff in the first fight - and that in fact, the ref did him a favour.

Another 10 seconds he would have been sprawled out and counted out.

The ref earned him a big payday by stopping it early and creating some controversy.

Froch had taken everything Groves could offer in the 1st fight, including the best possible start George could have had, and Groves still couldn't put him away. Groves knew this I think, because he looked very nervous in the run in.

Good post James. It got lost in the aftermath of the fight, just how much groves had started to fatigue. His body language had started very positive and active (tho ultimately I m o costing him a lot of nervous energy) but by rd7 it had got saggy, kindof apologetic (or even a bit pathetic)

The thought went thru his mind "I'm tired and i don't know how I am going to last 12 rounds" in my opinion and from that point on a Froch stoppage became inevitable. I m o.

With hindsight, you might be right. It was the hand pulling thing that did it for me. It clearly backfired and he seemed quite shaken. George used a shrink, too. A crap one that had him repeating the number six! Im no sports psychologist, but I didn't rate that tactic at all.

Feck me.

Right, here we go.

In the first fight froch took groves lightly, thought he would win easily and wasn't focussed and got the shock of his life. He took his lumps for 6 rounds then found a way to win, despite the early stoppage. He was about 20-30 seconds away from making it conclusive anyway.

The controversy made the 2nd fight, groves spent the build up winding froch up at every turn. Carl went away and trained his bollocks off, made adjustments and took care of business by knocking his opponent spark out.

If he then chooses to milk it, so be it. I would if I'd taken the flak Carl had in the build up.

I'm not sure what the problem is to be honest. If George would have won its not like he would have kept quiet is it?
