Why will they ? Boxers and their promoters need the outlet.

It's easy to say they need to ask tougher questions and not let boxers/promoters/trainers dodge out of answering questions but they will find less and less people willing to talk to them if they are going to give them a real grilling.

I think at the moment they have the right balance.

Very true, they would find less people willing but I think a big reason they do not ask penetrating questions is that they lack the boxing knowledge or fast working brain to be able to react to it in real time
