Everyone is going for the jugular in their threads, "Floyd vs. Sugar Ray", so I thought why not be more fair and have some of the champions (ten from each division) and see how Floyd matches up to those men. Of course, these top ten from each division are in accordance to BoxRec's all-time ratings system.

Okay gentlemen.... whichever fights you believe Floyd can win... put in bold, the names of those fighters.

This is an easy one. The one name on that list that he could surely beat, would be Aaron Pryor

I am not too sure about that. I just cannot see Pretty Boy winning that fight with all thqt pressure that The Hawk would've put on himBoxBuzz wrote:This is an easy one. The one name on that list that he could surely beat, would be Aaron Pryor

He already beat Oscar didn't he? Why did you not put the great Roberto Duran in the mix?
Re: FMM vs. The All-Time 140, 147, & 154 Pounders
Right off I have to say i can't stand Floyd and I'll be glad when he retires. He annoys the hell out of me and as a fighter, pretty much every fight he's in is boring.
However, taking a step back and really considering his record (48-0 against the best of probably two eras in multiple weight classes, never been dropped and one debatable decision) it's as good as anyone's apart from the elite p4p legends.
I think he could well have beaten every name on that list. I'd favour Hearns over him and possibly Armstrong and Napoles but that's about it.
Ive got him prob between 8-15 all time p4p. Can't see that he'd be any further down than that. Manny is top 20.
The top of the tree are srr, greb, langford, charles etc.
I'd take SR leonard to beat him but again im not 100% on this.

Because the BoxRec computer ratings (all-time) top ten for each of those divisions didn't list Duran.
And I'm presuming, in such hypotheticals it is "prime for prime" @ De La Hoya, who Floyd fought post-prime.
