Incompetent judges

Post by Pureist »

The 3 judges all had pacquaio- Floyd in the wrong colored corners on the scorecards, I could understand 1 being wrong, but all 3, WTF if they can't get that right they shouldn't be allowed near a boxing ring

Names were preprinted on the cards.
The R and B was written in by the same person if you look at the hand writing.
No controversy. Just an honest mistake made by one guy who handed the cards to the judge.

http://twitter.com/OperationSyaf/status ... 25/photo/1. They don't look the same, have a look at the middle b, looks like an 8, has there been anything released by the commission clarifying that, that's a monumental f up

I completely agree. I've commented on this already but the round that bothers me the most is how each judge gave the 12th round to Floyd. How can you give that round to him when HE didn't even want it. He clearly ran and knew he had the fight won. How? I have no idea. How was he SO sure of that? He didn't remember the Canelo fight? That one card that was a little whacko.

In the first 8 rounds, Floyd obviously won the first round and Manny obviously won the 4th and 6th rounds. The other 5 rounds were NOTHING rounds that could be argued by each guy or neither guy. How in the world does Floyd get awarded ALL of those rounds were nothing happened..clearly because of him avoiding action and Manny continuously pushing it.

Call me a Manny guy but if NOTHING happens in the round but one guy is chasing a guy all around the ring and getting held 5 times on the ropes while trying to engage. I have to give at least one of those rounds to him, no? Personally i'd give him the majority. it's a joke. it's smells bad.

So biggest fight of all time and the judges couldn't get what guy was in what corner?

In a way it's kind of fitting for the whole Floyd-Manny 5 year saga, a sorry stain on boxing.

Look, the scorecard that is turned in at the end of the fight is never even in the judges hands. The judges have a card for each round in which they turn in after every round. The commission actually did verify this, they showed the cards from every judge for the 9th round in which every judge had Floyd in the blue corner and Pacquiao in the red corner. It was who ever did the final tallying on the final card who mixed up the fighters corners.

Look, the judges scored the rounds for the right person. No one was cheated on the cards. The person who filled out the final card, the one with all of the judges scorecards at the end of the fight is the one that made the mistake, not the judges themselves. This is a minor yet careless technicality that has absolutely nothing to do with the final out come of the fight. Floyd wasn't getting rounds that the judges scored for Pacquiao and Pacquiao wasn't getting rounds that the judges scored for Floyd.
