-They all gave the 4th and 6th to Manny

-Feldman and Clements each gave Manny the 9th and 10th while Moretti gave him no others than the pair above.

-Feldman and Clements had identical cards while Moretti differed from them only in his scoring of the 9th and 10th.

I'm happy with the performance of the judges. I am always quick to critisize when they get it wrong so from me
I shudder to think how ridiculous the fallout from this fight would have been if they had messed up.

Judges are really rewarding running these days and giving nothing for initiating action. That really spells trouble for Boxing. If these judges were doing the Canelo/Lara fight then Lara wouldn't have lost a round. Joke.

How can you score rounds 9 & 10 for Floyd he won them as clear as Floyd won 11&12.

Ha, I don't remember much happening in the 9th or 10th but I thought Floyd won them. I actually gave Manny the 12th as Floyd was overtly negative in his running, but I still only gave Manny 4 rounds.

I wouldn't say that it was a lopsided fight. It was a dull fight where neither one took charge, and Floyd won as you had to give the rounds to someone.

It would be interesting if they scored more rounds as 10-10. I think they should do that when neither guy lands anything significant.

I'd certainly like to see 10-10 rounds used more often, even if you don't get some odd cards like 118-116, 117-115 and 116-116 but if they reflect the fight more accurately then that's a good things. (note I'm not suggesting this fight should have had cards like that, they are merely examples of what more 10-10 rounds could lead to)

For some reason since the 1970s its became frowned upon for judges to ever score rounds even, so they don't. Back in the 1950s judges would sometimes score 5 rounds even in a 10 round fight! That may be overkill, but some rounds ARE even and should be scored as such.

There are often cases in which boxers fight evenly during a round and hence I find it odd that some people seem to want to force judges to score the round for one boxer when a 10-10 round better reflects what occured. Perhaps there is worry of a slippery-slope in which judges will score rounds even unless there is a clear winner, but I don't think that would occur and even as a longtime proponent of even rounds I can't recall giving out more than two of them in a fight.

The judges don't write this. They only judge each individual round on a separate sheet for each round.

The Nevada State Commission do not like even rounds, and penalise judges who score them often. I was told this by a high profile boxing judge who has worked on may world title fights - he said he would rather score more rounds even, but that if he did, he would be investigated, penalised, and lose his opportunities to judge big fights.

I think it could make a lot of fights much closer, which in turn could result in more controversy that we have now, as it would take very little to swing a fight one way or another.

But, a buddy of mine did buy it and invited me over. So I watched it. Not too bad for a 40% sparring session.
