Floyd vs Manny Pacquiao NEW
Guys you can hate me or like me for this post , it don't bother me , b/c I no longer care about boxing
For the first time in my life , I bought a HBO/Showtime event for $90 and I really regret
and I will never pay for floyd again..
Here is what I have to say
May 2nd around 8:30pm or some the fight began, I was so excited to see the fight
Manny enters the ring with a happy face , floyd enters the ring with a scared and guilty face
The fight starts, floyd throws some good combos and Manny is trying to connect too, after couple rounds Manny feels more confident, and floyd is trying to connect more, but I see Manny being the aggressor and trying to throw more punches , but floyd is trying the avoid Manny's punches by running away from Manny , crowd is not happy and they keep saying Manny Manny....
We are in middle rounds , all I see is Manny is trying to catch floyd and floyd is running away from him, so what Manny dose is , he is trying to corner floyd , so floyd cannot run away from him, when Manny pushes floyd to the corner , that is where Manny unleashes his punches , Manny throws more than enough punches , but floyd is trying to find a way out from the corners .
This repeats , finally floyd's corner tells him to get out of the corners, but this " Hide and Seek game " repeats till the end , all I saw was Manny going after floyd and floyd is running away from him during the whole fight floyd had some 6 to 7 solid punches , which shook Manny, but that's all he did, the rest floyd ran the whole night and Manny was after him , he would catch him in a corner and throw unlimited punches and floyd would manage to get out...
In my eyes and 10 other ppl who wrere not boxing fans Manny Pacquiao won the fight hands down.
The ppl who were sitting with me all agreed that Manny won the fight, all I can say is :
HBO, Sowtime, Max, Judges the the rest of the decision makers were all being paid by FM
Couple other things, when the fight was over, the camera shows floyd's family all smiling and floyd himself yelling to the ppl that " I won I won" How did he know that he won the fight ?
And when the announcer announced that floyd's name , normally when someone wins such a big fight , he screams and jumps and etc...
Why there was non of that , all I was seeing a guilt face walking out of the arena
That was a FIXED fight .

it shows 95% thought Mayweather won.
Also poll at doghouse boxing and several others.
The number was not pulled from my butt. It was done on several sites.

Re: Floyd vs Manny Pacquiao NEW
Pretty much everyone who's either a trainer or boxer have said that Floyd clearly won the fight. Other than Pacquiao, Arum, Roach and Lamachenko who happens to be on the TR pay roll. It doesn't seem that in the actual boxing community that this fight was controversial at all, only to the haters and casuals.
Khan, Malignaggi, every HBO and Showtime announcer, British announcers, Andre Ward and that other guy that called the fight with him, Danny Garcia and his dad, Robert Garcia, Wilder, Tarver, Roy Jones Jr., Lennox Lewis, Carl Froch, Keith Thurman, Andre Berto.. The list goes on and on of fighters and trainers who thought Floyd fought a brilliant fight and clearly won.
Then you got these forum D-bags throwing a couple names of people picking Pacquiao and even saying Shane Mosley had Pacquiao winning when in reality had Floyd winning. SMDH. Then you have Evander who said there was no way Floyd could win a decision prior to the fight (even if Floyd should have won) picking Pacquiao as the winner, the irony LMAO.. And did you see Mike Tysons face during this fight? He looked effing humiliated watching Pacquiao get schooled like that after talking all that poo.. Funny stuff.

Why are people hunting for a conspiracy here. Mayweather won the fight with ease.
You make it sounds like Mayweather ran round the ring with his back to Pacquiao. What he did was dodge the punches, hit a right cross, and then duck away. Regardless of Pac Man throwing 6 or 7 punches, if he doesn't land and Maywether does, then it is a point to FMJ.
Love him or hate him, he got his tactics spot on. He came out fast, took Pacquiao by surprise, and put him off his game. He slowed down, didn't throw as many shots, and that played into Mayweather's hands. I could only sit there and applaud the skill and ability on show.

Re: Floyd vs Manny Pacquiao NEW
Well, how many of you are in favor of floyd's running the whole night and not boxing like a man ?
Consider this that anyone like Ali, Tyson, RJJ, ODH and the rest of the legends, that got their name in ATGs book, clearly earned their hard work , by fighting their opponents like a true champion in the ring, meaning got in to the ring and fought like a MAN, unlike floyd, which he ran the whole night .
That makes me sick to consider myself being a fan of floyd, I rather be the fan of a fighter that comes to the ring and fights like a lion, even if he gets KOed by anyone , at least he had the heart to come forward and not being scared of getting KOed or losing his 0 loss.
I know over 30 ppl , who said " We're not gonna pay for floyd's fights anymore "
floyd thinks that all these ppl who bought the fight, are watching to see the running floyd win, haha...trust me majority of the ppl who I know, bought the fight to see the floyd getting fVkked, but unfortunately freaking media are the hungry money dogs , that will do and say anything for money . Shame.

Let's see now........just when did you become a Mayweather fan? Did he shortchange the fans when he stood toe to toe with Maidana in the first fight, or the Cotto fight? Or, were you a big Mayweather fan 15 years ago?
Sometimes, when you are stupid enough to "do it for the fans", your career is much shorter. If slick boxing is what wins you fights, focus on pleasing the fans that are fans of the art of boxing, instead of the morons that are only fans of guys that stand toe to toe and trade shots to the head. Maybe that is why guys like you love boxers (fighters) like that. "Hey! No fair using your footwork and making me look stupid!" Typically, people that only are entertained by slug fests are the least intelligent of the fans. We have UFC, WWE, ect, for the less intelligent population.
I personally would love to see Floyd in a boxing match where he had to go all out. The fact is, that time has past. He is much closer to 40 than 35 even.

So basically your not a real boxing fan who decided to buy your first PPV and watch it with 10 other non boxing fans? Any one who understands the sport knows that Floyd won that fight buy at least 4 rounds. People get caught up in the hype and can't handle the reality when it happens. I don't like Floyd either but he could of won that fight if he was fifty years old.cj wrote: For the first time in my life , I bought a HBO/Showtime event for $90 and I really regret

i am very sure floyd saying "i won" simply meant
that he thought he won the fight. i am very, very
sure this fight was not "fixed" in the normal sense

i think what happened over recent years is that
floyd being passive in a smart way is seen as
points for him. i disagree with that. had this fight
being the pro debut of both the scoring would be
different IMO.
i have no problem with floyd getting the nod, since
i thought it was very close, but it was foremost a
total anticlimax, cause there was way too little action
and while one can point out the tactical manoeuvres,
it is still boxing, not chess and even there tactics

Re: Floyd vs Manny Pacquiao NEW
I just don't see how any objective person could have this fight close, much less Manny winning. I mean Manny might have been more aggressive, although he was still very inactive for a lot of the fight. Pacquiao just didn't land punches that people seem to think he did, he could barely touch Floyd. I mean it's obvious as day that Pacquiao wasn't landing shit, especially when he was throwing those combinations when Floyd was on the ropes. The fight wasn't close and 99% of boxing "experts" are going to disagree with what ever little logic you've gather to get your opinion that Pacquiao won the fight.man wrote:i saw manny winning a very close decision thatcj wrote:Guys you can hate me or like me for this post , it don't bother me , b/c I no longer care about boxing

This isn't a popularity contest and bunch of butt hurt Pacquiao fans simply won't change the reality that Pacquiao got, EASILY out boxed no matter how many of you sorry people join forces and flat out lie. But continue to lie, that's fine but don't expect anyone with knowledge on boxing to respect your obviously flawed outlook on the fight. Good day lol.
Re: Floyd vs Manny Pacquiao NEW
There is a big difference between running and effective movement.
And usually, you can tell that difference by the punches landed.
If I am in motion, yet landing more punches than you, I am boxing not running.
And if I am landing more hard punches than you, it is a schooling in addition to the clinic.
That is what we saw.
And all the fanboy wishing in the world won't change that.

Floyd is a pot-shotter. And he's very effective at it. The difference between most pot-shotters is that Floyd has very good ring movement, so he *gasp* moves between his shots rather than stand still and cover (which he did a little against Pac).
That being said, the fight sucked and was very disappointing.

But what most folks aren't getting is it was on Manny to force those exchanges and he failed miserably to do so.
