I personally like him.

I know he's not going about it all the standard pro boxing route but anyone who's willing to fight literally anyone who thinks they're tough has some pretty large balls!

I think it shows how easy it is to get a pro boxing license in New Zealand if this joker and his picked off the streets opponents can. Embarrassing is an understatement for this guy, the only ratings I'd put him in is Rohit Singh's. 4x2 fights shows how unfit he is, he's in his mid 30's so hopefully only another couple of years of this sick joke, although as there just joke fights his promoters will probably have him still 'fighting' when he's 50.

I think this is brilliant in my opinion
He never had a Amateur background and he only had like 6 corporate fights
This is like his amateurs right now before he starts fighting other pro boxers which be honest would be nobodys at first till he fought a somebody
from a business point of view hes great people love to hate him and people want to fight him and he markets himself
And he is a nice guy when you take away the theatrics

I meant that his fights that he is having at the moment is like have an amateur background before stepping up to pro
Don't get me wrong im not 100% agreeing with it being called pro fights but I think it is brilliant

It's nowhere near like having an amateur background, the guys he's 'fighting' are hand picked from videos with no boxing experience. He constantly associates his name with real boxers by saying 'they called me out'. Why wouldn't a real boxer call him out? It would be easy money, but on the grand scale of things knocking out a fat nobody wouldn't enhance there career. The sad thing about this whole pantomime is he won't lose for years probably, because he won't 'fight' a real boxer. He's a veruka on the sole of boxing, unfortunately veruka's are easier to get rid of.

Hoppa was last in the ring over 5 years ago, when he was disqualified in 2 rounds for continuous holding, wrestling and ignoring warnings in both rounds against Shane Cameron.

Hoppa is infamous as the most suspended player since the NRL was formed in 1998, being outed for a total of 45 weeks, and was renowned for his ring work when on the field.

Hoppa must be after the money as perhaps working as a bouncer is not all that profitable.

yea their was so much drama around it but in the end it ended up using 16 oz gloves which is corporate rules
in that case they shouldnt ruled it as a TKO it should have been a standing 8 count but oh well

I assume due to last events bout 2 in one night bouts and I believe the Sanctioning body put their foot down saying he needs to fight proper boxer for pro fights not just anyone for a one off

Were all the other fights on his BoxRec page under pro rules? I notice that his opponent AyJay Su'a boxed in a top, which I've never seen before in a male pro bout.

Under local rules are male boxers allowed to wear tops in pro bouts? I've never seen that other than Letele's fight with Su'a....

I think the main problem with Duco promotions is they don't know enough (if anything) about boxing.

Someone was claiming earlier today "he payed to NZ boxing and Boxrec to delete his results from boxrec."

I trust he got his money back? :DDD
