Re: Hatton being forced to fight M'bye!
Is Mbaye a warren fighter? if so then warren us showing himself to be the money hungry egomaniac we all know him to be, feeding mbaye to hatton so he can get one big last payday out of him before the gravy train moves on. If you dont fight my guy you dont fight at all! pathetics9s wrote:FOund this being discussed on another site. Thought i'd post what a dirty state of affairs this is turning out to be.

He is a Warren fighter, also even if Hatton gives up the belt, they are still going to ask that Hatton fights no-one but M'baye in the next 18 months!achybreaky wrote:Is Mbaye a warren fighter? if so then warren us showing himself to be the money hungry egomaniac we all know him to be, feeding mbaye to hatton so he can get one big last payday out of him before the gravy train moves on. I hope Hatton knocks this bugger out and then climbs over the ropes and shits on Warren.

So even if he drops the belts, he cannot fight at all unless it is M'Baye? That deosn't make any sense at all.
Hatton at the moment is very close to inking a deal with promoter Dennis Hobson. They're calling it his three-part plan to conquering the United States. The three fights include Ben Rabah, Arturo Gatti and Jose Luis Castillo. A couple good names in there, Floyd's left-overs.
Will he ever get serious about fighting Mayweather? Those Mayweather rumors were probably just another web spun by the Hatton PR brigade. Just for comparison's sake, I'd like to see Gatti-Hatton and Castillo-Hatton. Good luck hitman, you're probably going to need it.

So only in the US? That's rather convenient for him isn't itFreiheit wrote:Just an observation.
I think the ruling is only valid in the US (Same trouble for Valuev, a local US promotor claims to have the right for him, court ruled in his favour, but its not valid in Germany) so I think it only means that Hatton will not be able to fight in the USfor the next 18 months.

Its quite the opposite hatton left warren to get the fights in the u.s including against your hero floyd, if this is true its all warrens doing but if you took the time to find out the details instead of giving an uninformed kneejerk reaction you would know this.MaxPow wrote:So only in the US? Well, the details are that camp Hatton is interested in signing with promoter Dennis Hobson who has some fights lined up for him. Arturo Gatti, Jose Luis Castillo... Some top quality left-overs there. And how can I forget the much awaited match-up with Ben Rabahachybreaky wrote:Its quite the opposite hatton left warren to get the fights in the u.s including against your hero floyd, if this is true its all warrens doing but if you took the time to find out the details instead of giving an uninformed kneejerk reaction you would know this.MaxPow wrote:So only in the US? This isnt the point, we are talking about warren trying to prevent hatton fighting unless he faces mbaye therefore stopping him fighting in the states until this gets sorted out, hatton wants to fight in the states and you said this latest development was convienient as in you think hatton doesnt want to come to the states which clearly isnt true, why do you feel the need to change the context of your argument onto mentioning floyds leftovers?MaxPow wrote:Well, the details are that camp Hatton is interested in signing with promoter Dennis Hobson who has some fights lined up for him. If camp Hatton is earnest in seeking a match with Mayweather they won't have to worry about any of this Warren nonsense. Sign on the dotted line and the powers that be (HBO and Golden Boy) will handle that "paperwork" in a New York minute.achybreaky wrote:This isnt the point, we are talking about warren trying to prevent hatton fighting unless he faces mbaye therefore stopping him fighting in the states until this gets sorted out, hatton wants to fight in the states and you said this latest development was convienient as in you think hatton doesnt want to come to the states which clearly isnt true, why do you feel the need to change the context of your argument onto mentioning floyds leftovers?MaxPow wrote:Well, the details are that camp Hatton is interested in signing with promoter Dennis Hobson who has some fights lined up for him. Your right linear is the only title that matters. However, Hatton v Mayweather is alot more attractive with the big 3 belts on the line.MaxPow wrote:So, worse comes to worst, he'll lose an ABC belt. I wish it turns out to be as easy as that but somehow i dont think so.MaxPow wrote:If camp Hatton is earnest in seeking a match with Mayweather they won't have to worry about any of this Warren nonsense. It's either that or no match. Signing with Dennis Hobson will say alot about the direction camp Hatton is taking and what sort of legacy they are planning for Ricky. I poke around into the details substantially before I give my "uninformed knee-jerk reaction"achybreaky wrote:I wish it turns out to be as easy as that but somehow i dont think so.MaxPow wrote:If camp Hatton is earnest in seeking a match with Mayweather they won't have to worry about any of this Warren nonsense. By completely avoiding the issue at hand regarding warren and changing the focus of the debate onto the issue you decide doesnt show me you researched it at all just focusing on the information you have. Hatton should stick to his plan that he and his team stated from before the start of the year and fight as many tune ups as they like in my opinion, just because floyd has lost a payday because judah blew it shouldnt force team hattons hand into anything and if he has mandatories against whoever he should be respect these and have his tune ups regardless of whatever noise floyd and his supporters are making.MaxPow wrote:It's either that or no match. it's ridiculous that he's jumped on already over this. he only won the sodding belt a few months ago.
i can't c em winning this other motion. that he has to fight m'baye and nobody else even after giving up the belt.
lewis won a similar ruling, but that was cos they agreed on a rematch clause.
as long as he can keep hold of 1 of his belts, who cares about this.

If you don't see a connection you are either a doorknob or should take a step back and take a look at the bigger picture. Which promoter he signs with will have a lot of influence on what type of ruling he will get in court. HBO is the big boy of the block. O$car ain't no chump either. If he signs with Hobson to fight the left-overs and what-his-face... oh, Rabah. Well, that isn't going to be very effective against Fwank. Also, when Rahman was enjoined from facing anyone else other than Lennox Lewis for 18 months there was a rematch clause signed in the contract of the first fight in case Lewis lost. No imperative rematch clause in this one... And M'Baye is... Well, M'Baye.achybreaky wrote:By completely avoiding the issue at hand regarding warren and changing the focus of the debate onto the issue you decide doesnt show me you researched it at all just focusing on the information you have. No one's saying that Hatton has to face Mayweather now. Or even this year or in 2007 or EVER for that matter. It's just the fight that everyone wants and Hatton claims that if the offer is given he will take it. Despite having declined on more than one occassion. It aligns with the suspicions of many that Hatton wasn't serious when he said "look into my eyes, I want Mayweather". it went from 1 tune-up to 2 tune-ups. Then now 3. Apparently Hatton isn;t as easger to get it on with Floyd as he made it out to be.
It must be tough to be the decision-maker at camp Hatton nowadays. Fwanky wants to boss him around using the courts a la Rahman-Lewis. His American payday is proving to be elusive because of Fwank, which has turned sour from sweet just a few months back when he was being wooed by the Golden Boy in Vegas. Its a virtually unwinnable battle right now versus Floyd and then its also an uphill battle against the left-overs since a loss could prove to be very costly ala Judah. Castillo ain't no cakewalk for Ricky. In all seriousness, Gatti ain't no cakewalk for Ricky in the same way that Maussa wasn't no cakewalk for Ricky.

Warren now promotes both M'Baye and IBF mandatory contendor Ben Rabah, so he can get at least two more big paydays out of it.
