Sturm vs Chudinov

Post by Aaronide_ger »

We are onto rd 6, And till now Chudinov is clearly outworking Sturm by a huge margin, Controlling the fight with his jab and working to the body.

Interesting fight till now.

Everything Fedor throws just cant miss.

WIDE UD so far in rd 11 for Fedor, We will probably see a SD though because they fight in germany.

The card for Sturm was a joke--Chudinov won that by several rounds.

Stylistically Fedor is similar to his brother and they can both have a crude look to them, but he's clearly the better of the two in my opinion; a bit faster, not quite as easy to hit, a little tighter with his punches, and more versatile. At times he was even getting the better of Sturm while boxing on the backfoot, and he seemed to always be in control.

He also has a WAY better jab. But what they both lack is footwork, They are very slow on their feet. But nevertheless Fedor showed he has a good jab, works to the body, has a tight guard and is patient enough to win rounds.

Great fight. Chudinov clearly won but Sturm was very game but outworked by the younger and fresher Chudinov.

Sturm was much better against Steiglitz in his previous fight and I think he should hang his gloves up now.

...36-year old Sturm is obvioulsy on his way down, Chudinov stepped up and won... good job...was I really impressed with him and consider him world class at this point? I don't think so...

I scored it 116-112 Chudinov but it was closely contested,it was a very European kinda fight,I'm surprised Fedor has so many KO's as he seemed to throw arm punches a lot but there was no doubt he deserved it,Sturm is just too lazy and still always tries to nick rounds in the last 30 seconds

Neither guy impressed that much if I'm honest

Fedor scored one of the most brutal KO's fro last year- Absolutely destroyed the previously unbeaten Ben McCulloch

SMW division is very shallow. With Froch gone, there is nobody coming even close to Ward's level. Can you imagine what would Ward do with the champions like Jack, Chudinov and Abraham ?

Well, we already know what Ward would do with Abraham and the other two would probably be less competitive than Arthur.
