I feel Max Kellerman's logic regarding Manny's decision to go ahead with the Mayweather bout was well thought out and I agree with his dissection of ultimate blame for a less than stellar competition.

Apparently somebody has gotten under Kellerman's collar since his ribbing of Manny during the interview after he lost and the backlash of all of Packy's fans crying about the way Max grilled him. Just know this; Manny is an HBO fighter and Max is an HBO employee it makes sense that he is seemingly jumping on the Packwagon and giving Manny a pass for the bogus after the bout "injury".
It was outpatient surgery and everyone is acting as though he was majorally crippled, we didn't see any of that in the fight; he threw his right hook with a high degree of power and routinely as well.
No excuses he just lost to the better fighter.

A significant rotator cuff tear is a pretty bad injury, regardless of the outpatient aspect.

You are right, it is. What Pac has or had was obviously not significant though. Bad injuries of that sort would make you wince in pain and not able to use it at all like he did.JCS wrote:A significant rotator cuff tear is a pretty bad injury, regardless of the outpatient aspect.

kellerman is totaly right
Re: I agree with Max Kellerman Defending Manny's Decision to Fight
I would go with the Liar option. It was plain for everyone to see there was no injury during the fight. He would have mentioned something immediately after when talking to Kellerman, but am guessing someone put it in his head between then and the post fight interview.
Its not like Team Pacquiao hasn't lied before. One recent example - anyone remember them publicly saying they all signed their part of the contract, before there was actually a contract to sign? I am guessing they thought it would infuriate Mayweather into a rematch. Backfired. Anyone that has boxed as long as Floyd or Manny has wear and tear. Most don't use it as an excuse for losing though.

yes but he had this since 2008Badhusker wrote:You are right, it is. What Pac has or had was obviously not significant though. why did he not mention it in last 6 years or after losses to marquez, bradley (robbery) etc.
why did no one touch on it in past eg reason never finished algieri or rios etc etc etc
surely in any shitty youtube interview or post fight interview arum and co would have even mentioned , oh pac won with an injured shoulder in his close fight with marquez
Re: I agree with Max Kellerman Defending Manny's Decision to Fight
This is the PROOF in the pudding as they say, you hit the nail right on the head! It's only an excuse when Manny loses to Mayweather, not before when he won against all those other fighters.cold187 wrote:yes but he had this since 2008

A better time for him to have used the excuse is when he got pancaked face first by JMM, maybe his stupid excuse making fans would have given him a pass then too just as they are here today even though it should be as clear as day that the so called "Christian" Manny is a lying little MFer.

This is a large part of the problem I have too.KBB wrote:This is the PROOF in the pudding as they say, you hit the nail right on the head! It's only an excuse when Manny loses to Mayweather, not before when he won against all those other fighters.cold187 wrote:yes but he had this since 2008

If it happened back in 2008 or 2009 as Arum said, why hasn't it been fixed?
Manny had almost a year layoff after JMM coldcocked him.
The other part of my problem, Husker alluded to.
No indication at all during the fight that anything was wrong.
No winces of pain, no grimacing.
No limit on types of punches thrown or frequency of punches thrown the rare times Manny was actually able to trap Floyd.
Again, almost no one had any clue anything was wrong with Manny (I would say no one but Anne Wolfe says she saw it).
So yeah, liar or fraud with the smart money on liar.
