But maybe you'd be better served to actually try refuting what someone says instead of going all kindergarden on folks with the name calling...

Sometimes I get to spend a lot of time here, some days not at all.
But, if you think you have given anything approaching a legit take in this thread, you are the one who has serious problems with reality.
I will try to talk you down from that ledge you crawled out on.

Hope you can see how different the fights were.
But even if you can't you can bet others will.
Re: Lara wants GGG
3G busts Lara up at 160. Of course 3G isn't going down to 154 for the spare change he would make v Lara, and he isn't going up to 168 to rub two dimes together with Ward.
Re: Lara wants GGG
If he goes down to 154 and busts up Lara, how can Floyd ignore GGG then?Tanzio wrote:3G busts Lara up at 160. Of course 3G isn't going down to 154 for the spare change he would make v Lara, and he isn't going up to 168 to rub two dimes together with Ward.
What you are saying he GGG shouldn't do is exactly what he SHOULD do.
Beat a good fighter at 154, proving he can make the weight and is legit in it.
Re: Lara wants GGG
FMJ will NEVER fight 3G; not at 160, 158, 156, or 154. If 3G came down and defeated Lara at 154, FMJ would not fight him at 152. Deep down inside, you and every other FMJ worshipper on here who feel the need to respond to every negative comment about him for the last week and a half know it is true. My comment had zero to do with FMJ's skills, style, legacy or anything else. Most importantly, you are just plain 100% delusional with that absolute nonsense you just posted.koolkc107 wrote:If he goes down to 154 and busts up Lara, how can Floyd ignore GGG then?Tanzio wrote:3G busts Lara up at 160. FMJ does not fight above 152 for the rest of his career. If he fights at 152, it will not be v 3G.

Re: Lara wants GGG
What a fornicating load of shit list. Top 10, haven't got a fornicating clue list. You have 1 position correct, go to bed.Chepppaaa wrote:i mean when floyd runs, its "he is the best ever, a defensive genius"kidbazooka1 wrote:Yup ive said the same in the past Lara does what Floyd does but he's cuban so you know he aint getting any credit.Chepppaaa wrote:its not even funny the litle boxing knowledge people on this forum have
ony floyd fanboys, who dont know boxing
floyd is the tbe, with his defensive style and moving around, lara prety much does the same and beats as good or even better opponents like williams (robbery, rewatch the fight, anybody who says something else should stop watching boxing), wins against canelo even more impressivly than floyd did (rewatched the highlights, he made canelo miss all day, schooled him and even wobbled him with an left hook), but just because lara isnt such a big talker like floyd, he aint on his level, no way. people realy know sh/()t out here.
now watch the unemployed kbb coming at me in short period of time. he has like a boxrec radar in his head and as soon as somebody says something about floyd, he is in typingmode.
so unfunny, lara has the exact same style and similar athletic ability like floyd, but one is supposed to be tbe and the other is regarded like a journeyman. i judge boxing on what skills somebody brings to the table, on what i see with my own eyes, most people out here arent capable of doing so, they judge simply on gossip crap and crap descision.
when lara does exactly the same and also runs, than its "boring boxer, he should not be near a p4p top 10"
there you see the 0,0 knowledge of boxing have out here.
let me tell yall something. there are so many overrated boxers on the p4p lists of guys who post out here, like timmy, 0,0 power, loses barely everything or draws. than old marquez, who lets put it clear, the man is old and got 0,0 slickness and not much footwork, he shouldnt be near a p4p top 10. than the absolut debacle, wladimir, robotic, using illegal tactics, and compared to high quality welterweights just technicly very limited, can just be happy, that he has the luck of having judges on his side and most of his opponents being 1 head smaller than him, he shouldnt be near in a p4p top 10, every of his fights should be a dq loss.
so the same guys who praise timmy, wlad or marquez, than bash legendary boxers like rigondeaux or lara. why do i they legendary. cause those 2 are world class athletic, on another level in terms of footwork, on top they possess power and they beat strong opponents like a prime donaire or paul williams. but get 0 credit, but in the boxing world these guys are legendary.
mayweather
lara
rigondeaux
pacquiao
ggg
kovalev
gonzales
lomachenko
inoue
crawford
this is a mix of what a p4p top 10 should look like!!!

Re: Lara wants GGG
If Golovkin wants to force a fight with Pac or Floyd (or try to since some are so convinced the fight will never take place anyway) he needs to fight at 154.
It's just like that crap Abel Sanchez and Triple G were running about "anyone from 154 to 175".
Real easy to say, not so easy to do.
All Gennady had to do is prove he can actually make 154 (which he has NEVER done as a pro) and the press and boxing insiders would fall all over themselves dreaming of him and Floyd or Manny at jr middleweight.
The ball is and always has been in Triple G's court to force the issue.

Re: Lara wants GGG
There is no way for GGG to "force" a fight with Floyd or Pac. They will not fight the "damn giant" under any conditions, period. They have only 1-2 fights left for each of them, and they will avoid huge challenges.

But really, GGG had two years to do something like I said.
And he still has an outside chance if he does it this year.
I know Floyd is saying September is it, but I don't buy for a minute that there is at least a 50-50 chance he goes for 50 and 0.
For Manny, it would be a chance to do what no one else has done.
Both guys would think hard on it, though in the end they might decline so close to the end of their careers.
Re: Lara wants GGG
There will be no fight between Floyd or Manny vs GGG, so forget it.
Lara would fight GGG at 160, and said it last year I believe. Is Monroe more of a draw than Lara? Hell no. I have a feeling if GGG does what he expects to vs Monroe, he will fight Lara next. GGG likes to fight, not chase. For that reason I think him vs Canelo is a war. Canelo may do better than many think in that type of fight. I wouldn't bet on him to win, but think Oscar is smart keeping him from GGG until GGG gets about 35 and starts slowing down.

It's a good point. Failing the opportunity to take on someone who is more of a draw, if both camps want it, I suppose I can't give a good reason as to why Lara wouldn't be on deck.Badhusker wrote:There will be no fight between Floyd or Manny vs GGG, so forget it.

As to Alvarez, I am really a fan of his, don't get me wrong. But I hope for his sake they keep him away from Golovkin. That's a frightful beating waiting to happen. I'm not talking lopsided points beating, I'm talking "I didn't recognize him after" beating.
Re: Lara wants GGG
Monroe is an American, so yes, he is a better draw than Lara known to very few fans. More importantly, Monroe's serious advantage over Lara is that he can fight on HBO and is not advised by Haymon.
As it was said many times, if somebody wants to fight GGG, they should have their promoter/adviser/manager contact Loefler. Haymon didn't.

I do and i can tell you right now that Monroe is in no way a better draw right now than Lara.
No one here besides Monroe's team knows him yet Lara is known by a lotta hispanic/Americans due to his fights with Angulo and Canelo.
Re: Lara wants GGG
I agree with this 100%, but just take heed that you are debating with Ikey and he will defend GGG tooth and nail even look the other way when you present the obvious facts or make excuses like when it comes to Golovkin vs Lara he says "GGG is looking for a big money fight and Lara doesn't draw any PPV numbers".kidbazooka1 wrote:Do you live in America? Lara has even offered to fight at 160 but Ikey won't bother to even entertain that idea, instead he refers to Golovkin as a giant that Pac and Floyd are sooooo afraid of, when the reality of the situation is that he isn't on either man's radar because he hasn't done anything to earn a shot at either of them.
When Golovkin starts to beat someone with a recognized name then there will be more of a clamoring from the public for guys like Floyd and Manny to face him but honestly more people are clamoring for Khan or Thurman to face Mayweather or Manny than either of them vs GGG.
Like I said, I like Golovkin and he is a hell of a fighter but we've only seen him against journeymen and contenders, not necessarily against the Top A grade or HOF-bound opponents so we cannot say with absolute certainty that he beats this person or that person nor can we say that he deserves a shot against the top WW's in boxing in Floyd and Manny.

If he gets past Monroe Jr, I'd like to see Golovkin first fight Lara, and then the Cotto-Alvarez winner.
