Such a shame as he has the tools to be a World champ imo.

While he is not boxing, he should consider changing promoter.

Isn't one of his brother a a gangster? I'm sure I read that boxing and the Ingle's has been dwxicivwnin keeping him a way from that way of life. I hope he can keep on the straight and narrow but like some on here - the story about the substance is nonsense.

Why would anyone spike someone with this substance? Surely the best thing to do would be to slip him some rohypnol and draw a cock on his head or something! Very strange!

Winstrol has a short half life (around 9 hours for oral) as someone said on the page before. If, let's just go with this, a 50mg Winstrol tab was ground up and added to his drink,he would need to have been tested very shortly after it happened.

If the test was as close as 4 days after the 'incident', the amount in his system would have been around 0.03mg. The amount of Winstrol metabolite (that is tested for) would be tiny.

He's either very unlucky and has a horrible brother or he's crap at making excuses up.

Has anyone who has ever failed a test actually admitted it or have they all had excuses? Amazing, no one actually cheats, everyone gets framed. Yeah sure.

I thought that you would have had something to say about him grassing up his brother ?
Ok, seen as though you are very naive, I'll help you out... I'm guessing Kid knew full well what he was taking and his brother offered his services when he was caught. Much in the same way criminals "write off" crimes for other criminals whilst locked up. They'll ask for other offences to be TIC 'd(taken into consideration).
So throwing his brothers name in isn't "grassing" in the traditional sense (and non-traditional grassing is ok), rather they both engaged in a bit of perjury (which I assume is deemed to be ok ?).

This stuff can get a bit confusing; maybe I should watch more of the Danny Dyer shows (not Eastenders obviously .....).

Thanks for helping me out.

Wouldn't it be perjury if it were uttered in court, I don't think Galahad has been questioned by the police, has he?

Half life is different to detection time. biochem 101.

Oral winstrol is around 3 weeks. Varies on a few different, complex factors.

Winstrol is an old school drug, it's a crude drug used by gym rats. An athlete using it at such a high level has either been spiked or has badly advised.

all sporting athletes that get caught will screw up on the taper time of the drug or thought he/she was taking a drug but turned out to be another compound with a longer taper of time than the one he/she thought they were taking. the supplier is usually to blame.

I'd take the old fashioned view that its the athlete to blame.

The excuse is that bad it's laughable
Galahad should be charged with assault because it's not like in cycling or most other sports where juicing just helps you win
In boxing juicing helps you beat your opponent senseless and possibly seriously injure him
He should be banned for life

It's not illegal to possess or take them. Bripez is trying to be funny, mate. He is EXACTLY the sort of guy who makes the Danny Dyer shows popular. Clueless clowns listening to a load of has beens and never were's and hanging on their every word.

The Ingles must be suffering from a horrid case of the deja vu migraine.....yet another talented fighter they could take to the top and then keep there for several years if they were just left well alone; but then the family gets interested/involved and, predicatably, totally louses the whole thing up.

With the Hameds it was sheer hubris, with the Kid it just seems to be sheer stupidity.

Dominic and Brendan must have days when they wake-up and just think...feck it, let's retire and play golf instead. Thankfully, Kell Brook is still there and he's worth keeping the gym open for.

Don't think the family had anything to do with that, the spiked by his brother story is just a way to try and get him off it, either Galahad went off and took it himself or someone in his training camp has encouraged him to use it.

I don't watch the Danny Dyer type shows which is why I asked the question.

Don't put yourself down mate, who has said that you are a has been / never was ? - just ignore them.

I don't get your point about the legalities though - it might not be illegal to take, but is not allowed for athletes. Also surely if the brother was slipping him a Micky Finn then that would be classed as supply and would be illegal.

It's not breaking the law, so the police are not involved, it won't go to court hence no perjury. It's breaking the BBBC rules, so he is facing a ban..

If his brother is serving a lengthy jail term, a concurrent term for supplying would be more or less irrelevant. That's if Barry chose to press charges...

This is so annoying as a complete neutral and taking 'people' out of the equation.

I would have loved to have seen Galahad go up against Quigg and Frampton, and it looks that chance will be lost now.

Better off waiting a few years until Galahad is eligible and both Frampton and Quigg have inevitably been beaten and lost their titles and they can fight one another for the vacant IBO title which in the year 2017 will be a major title and the 5th belt and the WBB will be upgraded to top of minor belts

I can't wait

Looking at the evidence again, it could be Galahad is innocent. It's a very old steroid, and one his brothers are probably more familiar with than a top class athlete. It's well documented his brothers have spent most of their time in jail whilst Kid has spent his with the very clued up Dom Ingle and apparently has had the experts from Sheffield University studying his body for five years.

That's a long time for him to survive without his usual method of earning money. I hope he stays well within the law making ends meet in the interim.

If it was any old-school steroid other than Winnie, then maybe you'd have a point.

Orals like Dbol, Anavar, Anapolon 50's - there's about 15 of them that flood all meathead gyms around the world since the 60's. Cheap and nasty, for those that don't like needles, who probably like to pretend their muscle gains are natural.

But the one in the entire range that offers the least mass-building but is one of the very best for retaining muscle when cutting weight, to get that hard, grainy look - as well as explosiveness... Is Winstrol.

His excuse was that it was put into his drink.

Now it was definitely not the injectable liquid version, as that would be neutralised in the stomach - only the tablet version, which is a alpha hydroxy coated version, can survive the digestion process then successfully pass the the liver and enter the blood stream and remain potent.

Of all the orals then, that can be supposedly crushed and put in a drink, only 1 would fit the bill for a weight-governed fighter looking for an edge in strength, speed and explosiveness. Winstrol.

So if it was any other type, it would be a negative impact to him, but the fact it's perhaps the sole variety that would actually be great for him, is what casts a large doubt over his story in the eyes of the board.

It's a big shame, he was a very decent fighter.
