Re: Kid Galahad
According to Mike Costello, the brother has made a statement which the board have dismissed.
Re: Kid Galahad
He could be the star man of Malta Boxing commisison now if he joins them
in seriousness through if his ban is upheld can he go and box for another commission / worldwide or whereever to keep himself active and then come back to the BBBC or whould they not have it ?

He certainly is.watsupdoc87 wrote:Ha clutching at straws with that excuse
Someone ought to tell Galahad that that excuse is 27 years old & it didn't wash then either.
He needs to come up with another one.

I thought that myself. Di Caro must be rubbing his hands together.Gazmac81 wrote:He could be the star man of Malta Boxing commisison now if he joins them![]()

What a crock. There's a lot of inaccuracies in your post. One's which you have used to paint a picture that his story must be false. Why paint the image of being some sort of guru just to try and validate your opinion, it's just the internet.G0mez wrote:If it was any old-school steroid other than Winnie, then maybe you'd have a point.mickey1975 wrote:Looking at the evidence again, it could be Galahad is innocent. It's a very old steroid, and one his brothers are probably more familiar with than a top class athlete. It's well documented his brothers have spent most of their time in jail whilst Kid has spent his with the very clued up Dom Ingle and apparently has had the experts from Sheffield University studying his body for five years.
Orals like Dbol, Anavar, Anapolon 50's - there's about 15 of them that flood all meathead gyms around the world since the 60's. Cheap and nasty, for those that don't like needles, who probably like to pretend their muscle gains are natural.
But the one in the entire range that offers the least mass-building but is one of the very best for retaining muscle when cutting weight, to get that hard, grainy look - as well as explosiveness... Is Winstrol.
His excuse was that it was put into his drink.
Now it was definitely not the injectable liquid version, as that would be neutralised in the stomach - only the tablet version, which is a alpha hydroxy coated version, can survive the digestion process then successfully pass the the liver and enter the blood stream and remain potent.
Of all the orals then, that can be supposedly crushed and put in a drink, only 1 would fit the bill for a weight-governed fighter looking for an edge in strength, speed and explosiveness. Winstrol.
So if it was any other type, it would be a negative impact to him, but the fact it's perhaps the sole variety that would actually be great for him, is what casts a large doubt over his story in the eyes of the board.
It's a big shame, he was a very decent fighter.

I'm not trying to paint any picture and I certainly am no guru. To be honest, I'd expect most lads to have some sort of knowledge of steroids.Kingfield wrote:

Infact, the reverse could be true in the sense that if it was an injectable-only steroid, that was found in his blood - then there is no way he'd not realise that someone was sticking a needle in his arm. Whereas a tablet could in theory be crushed and sprinkled in.
But then would we hear that 'my brother said it was only a vitamin injection' ?
If what's occured is true, then his brother deserves to rot in hell. But right now that's a story - and therefore all the BBBoC can go on are the facts. And the fact is that he failed a doping test and it was found in his blood stream. Ultimately all athletes have to take ownership of what enters their bodies - and anyone that commits foul play towards an athlete needs to be prosecuted.

Yeah, I mean I'm not saying his excuse is anything more than that. An excuse.mickey1975 wrote:Galahad's brother has a lot of previous, though.Naandrew wrote:Liked this tweet by Liam Smith

But one of two things is true here;
1) Galahad's brother spiked his drink with drugs.
or
2) Galahad inaccurately told the press that his brother spiked his drink with drugs.
It doesn't paint the picture of a close family. I mean, all the people giving it the moral; "But families are always close, this is impossible" speech, are obviously ignoring the fact that they are in turn claiming that Galahad is publicly making bogus claims of his brother breaking the law.

Re: Kid Galahad
I think the opposite is true! If it is false and Galahad is using this excuse with his brothers permission, then his brother is willing to take stick just to try and save Kid's boxing career.ILikeBeer wrote:Yeah, I mean I'm not saying his excuse is anything more than that. But you were making points which you used to back up the fact you believe he wasnt telling the truth. The problem being your facts as you were painting them are made up.G0mez wrote:I'm not trying to paint any picture and I certainly am no guru. Yup. And if his brother was as malicious as Galahad claims, he'd not be likely to sign a sworn affidavit owning up to spiking him in the first place.palooka wrote:If I could get my brother out of the poo I'd lie for him no problem.ILikeBeer wrote:Fair point.mickey1975 wrote: I think the opposite is true!
