I have been thinking about the upcoming fight between DeGale and Dirrell.
Will Dirrell win the fight but DeGale get the decision so that Eddie Hearn has a world champion ( DeGale.)
Then Eddie can match Degale and Groves for the 'world ' title in a domestic mega fight in the UK.
It should'nt be this way but boxing politics works this way sometimes.

It's on Dirrell's promoter's card (Haymon) in Dirrell's home country and Haymon bid a ridiculous amount for a relatively low profile fight.

If anything Dirrell will have the advantage, not Degale.

Everyone was saying Kameda was going to walk through McDonnell and that if it went the distance McDonnell had no chance of getting a decision and the exact opposite happened.

Granted - Texas is not in Japan, of that their is no doubt, but Kameda to all intents and purposes is an adopted Texan in the eyes of the local fight fans there.

So was Burns v Figueroa! I still feel violated after that on Saturday! I think it just depends what the judges like. I think it will be a really close fight and a lot of it will be fought with Dirrell on the back foot. I'm sure DeGale will have his moments I just hope he makes the most of them when they come.

The Figueroa fight would have the opposite affect! Close fight ruined by an inept referee and blinkered judges. The scoring was pish poor. Not that I think it was a conspiracy as such, just idiotic officiating. Happens most weeks all over the world. McDonnell and Brook have both went over the water and had close fights and came away with the W so I don't envisage any conspiracies.
