I think the Douglas from the Tyson or even the Tucker fight would beat Marciano. Although Marciano has a good punch and heart and theres a chance Marciano can KO Douglas whilst behind on points....but Tyson failed to do so and Tyson was much much faster than Marciano and also hit far harder with both his left hook and uppercut. Douglas would school Marciano to a humliating defeat.BrocktonBlockbuster49 wrote:RazorKO wrote:Buster Douglas in shape when he fought against Tyson or even Tony Tucker would beat Marciano comfortably, sticking out his jab which Rocky would fail to avoid.

the question is in your case would marciano beat tony tucker or buster douglas?
well my question to you is do whales live in the ocean?
Rocky Marciano v Larry Holmes
What makes you think Tyson hit far harder than Marciano?RazorKO wrote:I think the Douglas from the Tyson or even the Tucker fight would beat Marciano. Rocky's skills are vastly underrated. He could slip a jab, set up his punches and even cut off the ring. Tyson was crap in the Douglas fight.

Or maybe your post qualifies for the dumbest of the year, since you never figured out I was joking!

How am I owned? Its not like theres a trace of sarcasm in that post. You post nonsensical babble in your post and I call you on it, and I am supposed to have guessed that youre somebody that knows what he's talking about?
What do you think I do, keep track of who knows what on boxrec.com?
owned
(just like Marciano if he ever fought anybody on Larry Holmes' level

stop crying and take it like a man, u got owned. no big deal. happens to the best of us. there clearly was a trace of sarcasm in his post.
he says " Rocky Marciano was much more slick and while he didn't possess a powerful punch, his handspeed, combinations and footwork were dazzling. He would keep the aggressive Holmes at bay with a long, smooth jab"
A. rocky was not slick and did have a powerful punch. holmes on the other hand was slick and did not have a powerful punch.
B. rockys did not have dazzling handspeed, footwork, combinations
C. rocky had a 67" reach and did not have a long smooth jab. holmes on the other hand had a 82" reach and a long smooth jab.
i mean how could u not understand he was being sarcastic?
he was clearly switching rocky and larry holmes around.
I exagerated that bit, But I still think Tyson hit harder overall. Rocky had a harder overhand/clubbing right than Tyson but Tyson hit hit harder with his left hook and uppercut in terms of 1 shot power. But I still think Buster in his form against Tyson could still beat someone like Marciano.DoubleM wrote:What makes you think Tyson hit far harder than Marciano?RazorKO wrote:I think the Douglas from the Tyson or even the Tucker fight would beat Marciano. I disagree, but it's your opinion I guess.RazorKO wrote:I exagerated that bit, But I still think Tyson hit harder overall. Unlike the Tyson of the Douglas fight, Rocky could slip jabs and cut the ring. He was a better inside fighter than Tyson, and he'd pound the body. Douglas was never under any fire against Tyson, Mike couldn't land anything. Rocky would corner him and start swinging, I'd say he could get Douglas outta there by the ninth.
