Two fans of Manny Pacquiao commits suicide in Philippines after Pacquiao losses against Mayweather
— May 3, 2015

Manila: In a world famous fight, Floyd Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas, United States. However, Manny Pacquiao won million of fans heart due to his brave game against Floyd Mayweather.

Some fans of Pacquiao were not in a position to accept the defeat against Mayweather. Two Philippines fans of Manny Pacquiao were in extreme depression after he loses against Floyd in Las Vegas fight. They both were suffering from a hyper-depression when Manny declared as the ‘looser’ in a world famous fight.

Both fans finally decided to commit suicide because they would not able to face their friends who were fans of Floyd.

Jumped from PBCom Tower

Both fans committed suicide by jumping off from PBCom Tower, the tallest building in Philippines. Someone called ambulance and both were rushed to the hospital but the doctors declared both dead.

“I have seen both friends jumping off from PBCom Tower”, said an eye-witness to World News Express correspondent in Manila.

“I am very shocked by suicide of my two friends due to Manny Pacquiao lost against Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas, United States. It is just a game”, said a mutual friend of both to World News Express correspondent.

Doctors declared two Pacs fans dead. Both friends left a suicide note but we were not able to obtain the copy.

There's gotta be something more wrong with someone to off themselves over the outcome of a boxing match. Horrible

It is horrible, some of these Manny Pacquiao fans are straight up blinded fanatics. They are some seriously angry people, Manny lost to the best boxer on the Planet, where is the shame in that?

Ricky, Cheap Ass, Caldo and the rest of you Turds; as much crap I speak here I don't want you guys to go and off yourselves, it's not that serious.

It's ok to admit he lost, believe me that you will feel better once you just accept it and let it go. :witzend:

I think RODIAN might have been one of those that committed suicide.
He has not been seen since pacquiao lost.
But I would not be surprised if some on here had to get therapy after.

You turn potential mental health issues and the sad death of fellow humans into a juvenile pop at other posters, for what or why?

Disgusting.

Edit to add: you and some of the others in this particular forum are a disgrace to boxing fans.

Clearly there are mental health issues at work here.

It's not necessary to use something this tragic to poke fun at others.

It's actually more pathetic that some stupid people would kill themselves because poor Manny lost, yet you have nothing to say about that huh? (rhetorical).

I'm surprised you aren't one of the ones who did something like this yet.

No need to bring it to that level man. What he is saying is there is more to this than just Manny losing to Mayweather. Obviously someone has to be going through some mental illness to do something this drastic. It's nothing to laugh at or poke fun at other members. Act your age man

I'm not a Pacquaio fan, so you shouldn't be surprised :TU:

But you shouldn't be using the tragic deaths of two clearly mentally unstable people to poke fun at others. You claim to be a Christian as I am, surely you can see that what you're doing here is wrong.

There is a LOT more to our existence than boxing, or Manny or Floyd or any of this stuff. Calling these people "stupid" when there are clearly a lot more underlying problems is in very poor taste. May they RIP.

There seems to be a recurring theme of fanatical sports fans from poorer countries killing themselves. Genuinely lost count of the number of Premier League football fans in Africa who've committed suicide after their team has lost a match. It's not rare. :o

I can't get my head around the whole idea that anyone could feel so strongly about a sporting event that they would commit suicide.
My first thought is that there are preexisting mental issues, but I wonder if these guys bet the house and car on Manny to win. That would make more sense to me.

EDIT: the previous post was made while I was typing. I had no idea this was a common thing anywhere in the world. Sad.

The first part of your sentence is what should catch the most attention, I mean, come on. It isn't that serious and it could be a case of what you stated (they bet house/car) and who else knows but if it was only a thing regarding being sad because Manny lost, then that is total ignorance and sheer stupidity.

I really wish the mods would take control of this board, and ban any mention of Pacquiao or Mayweather for one month, and ban anyone that does it. This is getting ridiculous. There are plenty of other fighters and good match-ups that we can talk about.

:shame: :shame: :shame:

How about this: Make it a personal challenge. I will be the first to take it starting now. No mention of the name Pacquiao or Mayweather for 30 days. That makes it until June 15th.

You don't have to read or comment on any Pac/mayweather threads? That's just a ridiculous comment!

..I think mods should just place a limit on how many identical/similar threads SAME poster can start...will be beneficial to everyone including the poster...

I've been on boxing and political boards for years, and some people take these elections, games, and matches way-too-seriously. wtf is right.

Why? You just quoted in this thread and yet you stated nothing that has anything to do with the topic at hand, this is a boxing forum and we are here to talk boxing and things that are related to it.

If you don't agree with any thread or dislike it then it is a simple matter; don't reply to it/avoid it but personally there is nothing else like this topic on this forum at the moment and this is a boxing relevant and newsworthy topic.

If it offends you then my apologies, I wasn't doing this to offend anyone but rather to just share some news related to the sport we all love here.

Its awful that the 2 people acted so irrationally but sport does fuel powerful emotions, had they gambled heavily on the outcome? Has they dependents? It's a real shame and as someone mentioned earlier similar things happen often. I've been disappointed from time to time but luckily not to that extreme.
