I like Hearns better as a dude, but I won't pull a George Foreman and pick the guy I like better. Mayweather UD.

How do you see the fight unfolding. I just can't see any scenario where Mayweather wins, though I think he has a decent chance of going the distance and losing a wide decision.

After thinking about it some, Hearns did have that awesome reach. I'd still likely go with Mayweather. Perhaps, Mayweather would beat Hearns the same way SRL did the first time. Hearns didn't have a stellar chin, and Mayweather's power is a bit underrated. We're all guessing obviously.

Keep in mind that Floyd Mayweather is smaller (shorter and naturally lighter) and a much lighter puncher than SRL and throws far less volume. Hearn's chin was average but it wasn't glass. That said, I'll disagree with anyone who says that Hearns doesn't respect Mayweather's power and simply walks him down - that wasn't Hearns's way - he would keep Floyd on the end of his long jab while looking for opportunities to land his power right and left hooks to the body. If Floyd tries to stay outside of range, he won't land his own punches and would at best, get widely outpointed. If he tries to walk Tommy down like SRL did, he's going to take a lot of punishment. Yes, Floyd has a good chin, but if he could be wobbled by Pacquiao and stunned by Mosley, then there's a good chance he's not going to see the final bell against Hearns, who would be landing more powerful punches at much greater frequency.

I think he could last 12 with Hearns, don't think he'd win, but I think he could have some moments. I think Tommy, who had great boxing ability as well as power, just outboxes him. Floyd for the most part (wisely, in a sense) stays more on the defensive, as has been prone to doing especially later in his career.

And there isn't really any shame in that. I mean, Hearns was a frigging monster at 147-154 Unless someone like Leonard has the speed, relative size, guts and great offensive arsenal to bring the fight to him, I don't see many beating him at those weights.

Floyd's most effective weapon is his reach, so he can pot/shot and run and judges in his pocket like Moretti lap that poo up. That's why Floyd won't fight guys like P Will or Lara. He doesn't have the reach advantage and couldn't fight in his usually stick and run style. Against Hearns he'd be disadvantage in every way physically, leaving him nowhere to run. Does anyone remember when Williams was still "Wet-behind-the-ears" when he beat Antonio Margarito in July of 2007? And does anyone remember Paul Williams "People" threatend a law-suit in order for that fight to happen...Because after beating Sharmba Mitchell...that made Williams the MANDATORY challenger for Margarito's title.

So after beating Margarito, Williams was OFFICIALLY "on the map"...Right???

Which mean ALL the Top Names within the Welterweight division (Cotto, Mosley, Clottey, Zab Judah, Berto) would be knocking down the door for a chance to fight Williams (now a title holder)...Right???

Lets see...After beating Margarito...They were talking IMMEDIATE REMATCH...Williams wanted it...But Margarito chose to fight GOLDEN JOHNSON AND KERMIT CINTRON (again). Then later, an Officiall offer was made for a rematch with Williams, but Margarito took less money to fight Cotto..Hmmm, Wonder Why

Miguel Cotto in November of '07 beats Shane Mosley...And Immediately I was thinking...WOW...COTTO VS WILLIAMS
