Still no word on Parker's June 13th opponent...

I've convinced myself it's Razvan Cojanu.

They're taking the piss leaving it this long though.

Hmmmm.... $29.99 or $39.99?
Not even worth $1.99!
If there gonna bring over this kind of opponent they might as well have saved on the airfare and got a heavy from NZ.

Can't complain to much about the level of opposition in his 14th pro fight check out what some of the top guys currently and in the past were fighting in there 14th bouts. Saglam has 31KO's in his 35 wins albeit against weak opposition but still must carry some pop and an aggressive style will see some fireworks.

Should it be a PPV event. Well thats where I have my issue...........

Stu Duncan does just that in this article:

http://tvnz.co.nz/othersports-news/jose ... on-6315269

Stu Duncan knows there will be plenty of debate about the Scorpion just like there has been about Parker's previous 13 opponents but he has been instructed 'no easy fights'

In the case of the 'The Scorpion', he has found Parker an opponent who is statistically the toughest ever faced by a heavyweight prospect in just his 14th fight.

"Wladimir Klitschko's 14th pro fight was against a guy with 18 losses," says Mr Duncan.

"Turn the clock back slightly further, Lennox Lewis' 14th opponent had lost 10 times while Mike Tyson fought Sammy Scaff who was 13-6."

The Scorpion already lost to an unspectacular 6-0 prospect and just a few bouts ago he initially lost a decision (later overturned) to a 12-1 opponent I've never heard of despite following the division closely, so I think citing his 34-3 mark as evidence of his quality, which Duncan seems to be doing, equates to giving record-padding credibility. I don't have much of an issue with Parker fighting Saglam but he's not someone I consider a tough opponent.

I consider myself a follower of boxing, this is the 3rd opponent in row of Parkers Ive never heard of. I wonder what sort of money this Stu Duncan is offering all these part timers? Maybe a nice holiday in beutiful New Zealand and a few dollars is enough. I hope there not setting him up for a big fall when he actually fights someone good. I certainly dont fall the bullsh1t of having a great record, look at some of the names on his record
