You're being immature - I've explained my scoring of the fight and why I think it was close. I've never cried robbery or blamed the result on Manny's shoulder. We disagree on the scoring - fair enough- it's hardly surprising in a low action fight with few meaningful punches landed by either fighter. Not everyone who had the fight close is a 'Pactard', scoring in boxing can be quite subjective and there is often a large range of difference of opinion.

One guy hit the other guy almost twice as much.

One guy landed 20 more powershots.

One guy landed the vast majority of the clean, hard punches.

It was ALL the same guy doing that.

And to boot, almost NO ONE WHO SAW IT IN PERSON HAD IT CLOSE.

I don't think we'll disagree on the results, but can we leave some guy pushing buttons out of it? This isn't amateur boxing.

Once more with feeling: You watch one round, score it, watch the next and score it,etc. At the end you add all that up and there's your score.

It annoys me to no end, all this fvcking math in discussions on pro boxing. "Ooooh, according to this, 58% of power shots compared to 36% for that guy, that must mean...'' you watched the fight, just tell me what you saw.

This thread is for those of you who scored the fight closer than 116-112.

Specifically, those of you had it 7-5 Floyd, a draw, or Manny winning.

Please explain which rounds you gave to Manny.

And for each round you thought he won, please explain exactly why.

Please be as detailed as you can.

I am starting this because I am perplexed as to how anyone can see more than 4 rounds for Pac.

And even that is a gift, as 117-111 seems the most proper score, with 118-110 perfectly understandable.

If you go to Australia and Pacific forum RE-Mayweather v Pacquiao on the 4-5-2015 I kind of gave my theory I didn't really explain my view on the round's but I do remember saying I couldn't give the last round to TBE because he put on a Usain Bolt impersonation or something along those lines just about every-one that i'v seen gave TBE the 2nd round I gave that round to Manny because he was the aggresser punch stat's claim both landed 3 punche's that round if you believe that BS I compaired my score to Aussie boxing expert's Paul Upham and Grantly Kieza.
Upham 116/112 Mayweather and Kieza 115/113 Mayweather ...........And me....... Manny won round's 2-4-6-9-10-12 that's my opinion.........

I have already explained in this thread why you have to be kinda biased to give Manny rounds 2 and 12. I even posted video of 12, so feel free to take a look and tell me where you see Manny winning the round and please elaborate on round 2 as well.

I agree that Manny won rounds 4, 6, and 10.

No way he won 9 so that is another round I need your indepth explanation on.

ROUND 9 RECAP:

Some success early and late for Pacquiao, both in those flurries against the ropes. At the very end, it seemed like he might get a good rally going, but Mayweather avoided and shut things down. The rest of the round was what we have some for the most part. 10-9 Mayweather. That makes it 88-83 Mayweather after 9, so Pacquiao needs to go for it now.

Manny Pacquiao is just finding it hard to do much with Floyd Mayweather. The easy openings aren't there. It's not that Pacquiao is fighting poorly, he's just not able to land the clean shots he needs, and Mayweather's movement and defense and jab have controlled this fight.

Pacquiao does land a good left hand late in the round, but Mayweather stings back with a hard counter right hand to convince the judges. He'd won most of the round, but put his stamp on it. Mayweather is fighting brilliantly for the most part, and Manny Pacquiao just can't catch up to him with the type of shots and pressure he needs to win. Nothing's over until it's over, but Floyd is looking like he's moving toward the victory.

Mayweather is ahead in this fight. The most you can give Pacquiao, maybe, is three rounds. He's just not getting it done so far. This is a Floyd Mayweather fight.

Pacquiao throws a hard lunging left hand, then gets tied up again by Floyd. Manny throwing lefts but not connecting. Floyd connects on a right as Pacquiao turns away. Floyd, as he has done so many times in his illustrious career, is coming on in the later rounds and figuring Manny out.

Round to Floyd but 5-4 Pacquiao.

Pureist boxing has 4 criterias to score a fight not just punches landed.
In Rd 9 where you say the punch lands on pacquiao's neck, Mayweather still won that exchange by avoiding Manny's attack and moving out of the corner and making Manny come to him. Manny was dancing to Floyds beat all night and is why he lost. It had nothing to do with more punches landed etc.
You can win fights purely on the other categories which is what Floyd did.
To all you guys who think Manny won this fight learn the other criterias to score a fight as this was not even a controversial decision as there usually is in boxing.

you wont win a round without landing punches, both showed ring generalship at different stages, if pacquaio was going forward and getting pinged relentlessly and not landing, fair enough, but he was landing so then the aggression has to be scored to pacquaio, i know boxing back to front, round 6 soon, by the way, pacquaio has landed the harder shots overall, that goes to him so far aswell

The video address 2, 3, 6 & 8. So, straight right in which round?

'That hook'? I assume you mean at the end of round 3? That hits Pacquiao underneath the ear and on the jaw line. But yes, you'd be forgiven for not scoring it if you applied the same standards to Pacquiao. Speaking of which, the flurry was in round 6.

1 or 2 of those shots landed cleanly. 1 of which really was behind the ear. Top of the head? If you're referring to the right hand in round 2, it lands clean. There's a shot a few seconds earlier that lands cleanly too.

The only way, in my view, you can score this bout to Pacquiao is by giving him the benefit of the doubt on over a dozen shots. Those shots fall on the blind side of the camera or scuff Money's guard.

I don't the video I've linked is flattering to Floyd. Why? Because by negating Pacquiao's phantom shots Floyd is already up on our 'Punch Count' in Rounds 2 & 8. That's even before we count Floyd's shots. The viral video demonstrates extreme bias and counts Pacquiao shots that miss clean ...

... Unless you really think those shots landed in round 2?
