Pretty anticlamatic winner announcement after you hear one is 117. No way Dirrel won every round except the 2nd

Didn't watch that closelythough as I find Dirrel pretty boring , he'd be better pursuing that acting career

How I picked the fight has nothing to do with the reality that it was a close fight and a visiting fighter wouldn't have walked out of the UK with the same fair result. Or have we not seen that enough times already? It's so bad over there that Andre Ward, who dominated Froch, refuses to fight the guy in his backyard. That's how much of a joke it is over there. He knows he can win 9-10 rds and still lose.
Yeah that famous road warrior refuses to fight someone in their country.

This was exactly your first post when Brook got the decision against Porter, you do realise you seem absolutely bitter every time an American loses to an Englishman, its a bit childish.

My man, my opinion is just my opinion. It does not need to be justified by money. Yours may be worth $150, mines is worthless.

DeGale/Groves are not on Dirrell's level. That's my opinion and we'll see if I'm right or wrong.
I agree, your opinion was absolutely worthless.

Thanks, after round 2 or 3 I went to the bathroom and when I came out NBC was showing a kids cartoon so I was wondering WTF is going on.

I guess that's what happens when you have a (relatively, as in not a swing bout) significant undercard fight after the main event. "Oh wait there's another fight, let's get it over with."

Many, many visiting boxers have won by decision in UK over the years: Terence Crawford, Ermano Fegatilli, Anthony Mezaache, Markus Beyer, Malik Bouziane, Simone Maludrottu, Charles Adamu ... Manuel Medina ... Further back in time, huge list: Joe Brown, Emile Griffith, Joe Frazier, Larry Middleton, Jimmy Young, Jack O'Halloran, Von Clay, Eddie Duncan, Marshall Butler (Quebec), Pat Supple (Canada), Gordon Wallace (Canada), Ignacio Pina, Vicente Saldivar, Raul Soriano, Jimmy Elliott (S. Africa), Willie Pastrano, Spider Webb, Randy Sandy, Don Johnson, Roger Rischer, Amos Johnson, Eddie Cotton, Alphonse Halimi, Felix Brami (Tunisia), Carlos Teo Cruz, Kid Gavilan (but Gavilan earlier lost a very controversial dec. in London), Tom "The Bomb: Bethea ... Jeez, honest to God this is only off the top of my head .. French lightweight Guy Gracia won, from memory, four fights on points in UK, Cuban kid Salinas getting a probably fortunate draw with Scott Quigg ... At one time in British boxing, going back in time admittedly, the fight-trade guys would say that Britain was the only country where the close fights always went to the visiting boxer -- believe it or not, true ... Could come up with a lot more names if I took the time ... Everyone is entitled to see things the way they see them, not arguing against that, but as they say in Australia, "fair is fair"

I didn't score fight but felt like it could have easily been a draw to me Degeale kind just stopped fighting for about 4 or 5 rounds..which was kinda baffling, but didn't win him rounds.

Dirrell has all the skills in the world but he just doesn't have the heart of a real warrior (nor do I, before anyone starts any nonsense).

As soon as things get tough you can read his eyes a mile off. Best of luck to him in his life but anytime he's in tough in the ring it will end badly for him.

Zlat over Burns too if that hasn't been mentioned.

I think judging is of a very similar standard across countries, and owing to the number of fights in the US it's probably still home to the greatest number of poor judging examples. It's grating when Americans talk about needing to kill local boxers or at least win nearly every round to win in countries like Germany or the UK, as if the US is a bastion of fair officiating.

Bundu beat Gavin rather clearly. Crawford smoked Burns.

I'm talking about close decisions in fights that have world implications at the top level. Not worthless domestic scraps that don't involve much $.
