What happened to Kevin Lear?

Anyone know? He hasn't fought in 3 years. He was 14-0(eight k.o.'s) and had just won the W.B.U super-feather belt. He had beaten Michael Gomez well to a stoppage win in the 8th and was the leading domestic super-feather. So why did he retire? Was it injury?
I remember Gomez used to call him out all of the time after his fights. Maybe he just likes pissing Gomez off.

I think it was a recurring shoulder injury, he was going to make a comeback and was training at Johnny Eames’ gym, obviously something happened for him to call that off.

I remember after he beat Gomez he was supposed to defent against Gavin Rees although the fight was cancelled about 3 times due to I think Lear having a shoulder injury. the las I heard about a year ago that he was getting fit and due to return but nothing since.

Great fighter , I also heard that he liked to enjoy life tho....

Indeed, last I heard was that his shoulder injury was just not repairing as hoped. Shame.
