Everyone needs to speak to be relevant in this day and age. More exposure usually means more money. Roach is a really good trainer, not the best even currently around, but he's even better at getting the spotlight to follow him. Good for him!

Roach is not the best trainer or promoter but he is damned fine in both departments for his fighters.

Roach would be better respected if he just didn't go over-board in his predictions like he does. He almost always predicts a KO anymore. His crap about Manny's shoulder is tiresome to hear anymore as well. Not the right thing to say if he truly wants a rematch. He did the same thing with JMM, hinting he was on the juice, and it was a lucky shot. JMM publicly said he would take any tests as long as Manny did, then Manny's team dropped it. Talk about hypocrites and sore losers.

Of course he is picking Cotto to win by KO. He has no idea, but is doing his best to hype the fight. He admits being the one that selected Geale, so he must see something about being a good match-up for Cotto. Roach is the catch-weight and hype king of trainers, for sure, but not the best.

I don't think Geale is a easy fight for Cotto at all, but I think it's a fight that Cotto will win. Cotto also won't be fighting no GGG in his next fight no matter how convincingly he beats Geale, even with GGG being Cottos mandatory if he beats Geale.

People keep talking about Cotto vacating his 160 lb. title after Geale and I think that's a bit far fetched myself. Alvarez has been waiting to move up to 160 against a lucrative opponent like Cotto, that fight will generate a lot of money and they will have no problem giving GGG good step aside money to allow that fight to happen and won't be nearly reluctant to pit the winner of that fight against GGG after the fact.

What people say in the heat of the moment is almost always what they think. If somebody calls another person a jew or an N word in the heat of the moment, it most likely means that he thinks that being a jew or black somehow makes you bad.

I disagree that it's "almost always" what they think. It definitely can be the case, but it can also just be schoolyard crap of grabbing whatever difference this person has from you. Believe me, in my time working security I've heard a lot. Short dude gets called a midget by a guy who's friends are almost all shorter than the "midget". It's just trying to use a descriptor to rile someone up or make them feel bad. I have a cousin (white) who still lives in the ghetto. He has a black wife, three bi-racial children and always refers to the black community as us. He's got his own rap group, and he's the only white guy. Yet when he gets in a scuffle with a black guy, N-words are thrown all over. How can this guy be racist when he really believes he's black himself?
