Khan, Brook + Joshua all to win on pts is 33/1...
Seems pretty decent value to me as none of their opponents have ever been stopped?

Worth a punt for sure, though i fancy Brook and Khan to get stoppage wins, Gavin hasn't been anywhere near Brooks level, and Kell is a big and skillful guy at the weight.Maxsplit wrote:Seems pretty decent value to me as none of their opponents have ever been stopped?
Algieri took the beating of his life against Pac, i think he may lose via getting peppered all night rather than clean KO'd.
worth a tenner for sure though.

Interesting bet, but i reckon there has to be at least one stoppage from those three fights.
If you throw in Linares to win by KO you would then be looking at odds of over 100/1.

Lots of people writing Frankie Gavin off - undersized, understrength and having lost to Bundu.
I don't see Brook stopping him and if Frankie can find his range and rythmn early I reckon he can make Kell look disjointed and will find his high held chin with his accurate back hand.
Going against the grain here and am calling the upset.
Am I bias? Of course but I am also surprised how many think Gavin will get banged out early - that just isn't gonna happen.

Can't see an early finish either,i'd say more of a gradual wearing down, about the 6th or 7th round.

Gavin had to find a new level to beat Bradley Skeete.

It's worth a couple of quid. I've stuck £2 on at 30-1 which if it comes in will pay for my night out tommorow.
I think brook goes to points, I can't see khan stopping Algeri if manny and prov couldn't.
The 50-50 one IMO is Joshua who I think will hurt Johnson who will then go into sparring partner mode, tuck up and just be a punchbag trying to go the rounds like he did against fury.

With what bookies? I'd throw a £5er on that. Very confident on all three of them winning handily.Maxsplit wrote:Khan, Brook + Joshua all to win on pts is 33/1...

I put £5 on Sky Bet. It says my return would be £170Crease wrote:With what bookies? I'd throw a £5er on that. Very confident on all three of them winning handily.Maxsplit wrote:Khan, Brook + Joshua all to win on pts is 33/1...
Obviously it's a risk but I like the odds!
Especially as:
- Amir Khan hasn't legitimately KOd anyone for years (Judah did a weird quit & the fighter after the Garcia defeat lost on cuts) and Algeri wasn't stopped by Pacquiao or Provodnikov.
- Johnson went the distance with bigger fighters than Joshua with more experience than him who were also big punchers. Fury has a 75% KO rate and Vitali was 87%.
- harder to make a case for Gavin, but he is a tough guy and I expect a harder fight than most seem to for Kell.
Got to be worth a small bet!

30/1 on paddy power. This is interesting. Only 4/1 for them all to get the stoppage.

I've just put a tenner on it in the bookies and got 24/1. They wouldn't take bets on who the winner would be though. Just the fights going the distance.

Bit more risk clearly but I just got Joshua pts, brook pts and kev and Selby to win any means.
40-1.
Can't see it myself but stuck a bit on to hopefully add a bit more interest as I'm sat in O2 later.

I can see Brook brutally exposing Gavin tonight,if pushed I'd still go for it to be a mid to late KO but Kell's that good he can make quick work of Frankie and show him the world gold in the ams means nothing 8 years later, nothing against Gavin he's a skillful fighter who I thought edged Bundu by a point but I've just not seen anything that makes me think he's good enough to become a world champion, also Brook's p4p top 10 material after a couple more fights, providing he steps up a level after this assuming he wins tonight of course
I know its been said a million times already but Gavin's a weight class to high to compete at this level
