Really enjoyable fight.
Khan did his job and Algieri kept it competitive.
Algieri v Brook should be his reward for that effort.

Hell of a reward been hammered by a bigger stronger man. I think Brook should be Khans punishment for looking ordinary. :DD Algieri can get on a PBC as he wanted and fight someone like Guerrero.

Incredibly hard fight for me to score. Algieri's best shots were higher in frequency than Khan's, and he was chasing the fight. I reckon Khan was a bit taken aback by this supposedly easy foe's gumption, and backpedalled out of Dodge early doors. My eyes were then drawn to Algieri's attempted pressure. If he'd fought the same fight with a bit more power in his shots, the judges' eyes would've been forced to acknowledge his positive moments. Even for punchers, it's hard to hurt someone who's so evasive.

But although I dislike running without a cause, Khan was more effective at neutralising Algieri than Algieri was at hunting Khan. So in pure boxing terms, I felt that Khan shaded it. Deserve's got nothing to do with it, but if it had, I felt that Algieri should've been given the nod. A draw would've been fair in my book.

Not the performance khan wanted. He really needs to take control of his career and look to create a legacy rather than letting mayweather control him. If he had fought better opponents more consistently over the last 2 years he would be in with a much better chance.

As it stands, he is just an option like many others

Couldn't agree more.

Khan is in a virtual state of paralysis just in case Mayweather Jr sends him a bunch of flowers with note saying "let's talk"!

He's swerved a potential UK blockbuster with Brook, which could have given him a belt if he'd won & he is fast running out of light hitting light welterweights to fight to keep him ticking over.

If Floyd doesn't send him that bunch of flowers soon, what on Earth will he do next?
