Anthony Joshua 248 vs. Kevin Johnson 225

Wow, career low for Johnson -- could be a sign!

Why did it say 245lb when Johnson was on the scale everywhere reporting as 16 stone 1 and it was announced that I can't work it out probably something stupid

Johnson was 245lbs, Buffer messed up the conversion and announced him as 16st 1lb(225lbs), not 17st 7lbs. Johnson looked in good shape though.

Joshua makes himself slower by constantly adding muscle. Power is not what he is lacking. He needs to stop adding weight.

Joshua's the one showing a gut at the weigh-in, though not the type that Johnson usually does.

Should watch the weigh in so you can see his full body because he looks ripped and ready to go. Johnson in better shape than he was for the Fury fight though

He does look ripped, but he seems to have a slight bodybuilder's gut and has jumped about 20 pounds since his debut.

Could he be getting too bulky? I'm curious about the type of stamina he'll show if he can't bomb out an opponent and is put under at least a bit of pressure.

I just hope Joshua gets Johnson out of there quick so "Pinhead" decides it's time to hang up the gloves "Poimanent".

Somebody needs to withold Johnson's purse.

The guy threw NOTHING back.
He practically begged to be stopped.

I hear you, but Johnson usually fights this way, doesn't he?

He fights this way because his defense works.

Once it was clear this wasn't working, you either start defending yourself by punching back or look for a soft spot on the canvas.

He came for a paycheck.

Couldn't agree more.

I thought I was imagining it, but he seems a tad slower to me.

He doesn't need to weigh 248lbs.

I think he'd be much more effective at about 238lbs where he'd be quicker, but his power would still be there.

Thanks to Anthony for demolishing that meatsack Kevin Johnson. Johnson has gone from a decent boxer to a bit of shrubbery in a very short time.

Absolutely no surprise.

I've been saying since last year that Johnson was crossing the pond to simply lay down against Joshua.

Oddsmakers established Joshua as a 100-1 favorite and only offered +1600 return on Johnson. They smelled a setup and possible fix and wanted no part of the action.

The obvious plan is to build up the Brit and make him appear to be a monster. He's now touted the first guy to stop a fighter who's been in with some top names and had never been KO'd. So the plan continues as scheduled.

More setups are on the way. We won't know Joshua's true worth until he's put in with a live, willing opponent.

Until then, I'll just keep recalling the name "Audley Harrison."

He does. But respect to Joshua. For 12 years fighters including Vitali Klitschko have been trying to stop Kingpin, and until Joshua none had succeeded.

Impressive win. Johnson claims that he had an arm injury and could not defend because of that but I'm not sure about that.

They're always injured when they lose.

You rarely hear about a boxer's injuries when they've won emphatically.

Kevin Johnson gave up fighting back years ago. He's in there for paydays as the opponent, and the other manager knows he's not going to try to land a lot of punches. As such he's a perfect opponent for an up and coming talent.

Joshua looked all right. We already know he can hit and has fast hands. But we do not know much about his defense, his stamina, or his ability to take it vs a man who's in there to fight back and win.

If builds can predict a fighters durability, I think Joshua is in some trouble as he's a bit stiff legged, and has a narrow type of frame. Those types don't take punches well in general.
