Re: Who was Il Duce anyway?
The main reason I posted this thread was because its been a year since you were succesfulTuan_Jim wrote: The complete deletion of his work was a great day for Boxrec.
in getting rid of the olde il Duce along with myself(formerly SugahRayRobitussin)
due to your megalomanical on-line paronia.
and Since you dont have Il Duce to kick around here anymore
you insist on baiting me(and no to answer your question a thousand times,I was not and am not Il Duce)
I fail to see any similarites,
would you care to point them out?
,and frankly im sick of
you and your alter egos here continually trolling my threads or responses to threads.
I just bet you like to have sent Il Duce and others to the gulag if you could huh?
You crum-bug.

Re: Who was Il Duce anyway?
I can pretty much confirm that Il Duce and Caracatus are not one and the same. Il Duce could never contain himself, and never attempted to show sensibility about things that he believed.
Caracatus, you on many occasions have listened to others without prejudice. You have on occasion reiterated your point, and stuck by your initial belief, and on occasion I believe you have been moved by what others have had to say. You may share an opinion or two with Duce, but you do not use the same syntax, nor are you particularly driven to be condescending or edgy about differing opinions. I don't think Il Duce was capable of playing charades. Also your IP servers appear to be nearly a continent apart, and have never shared even a floating IP identifier.
I have to say that Il Duce had lots of knowledge of the sport, but my god he was insidious in how he used it. There was a pathology to his communications that always seemed to have at it's core his "inside knowledge" that he wanted to use to shock, garner attention, and gain respect. And he used some very interesting methods over and over again....like hyperlinks to nowhere, or hyperlinks that he would describe as "A", and you would read the info and it turned out to be "B". This happened over and over again....I truly believe he used this ploy to see if he could appear to be "on" with his assertions knowing that only a few of us would bother to check up on him.
So he may have been simply a very bored troll style joker, but my guess is he was more than a shade delusional. You can not deny his intimate knowledge of the sport. And he seemed to have a very specific mindset, history, and/or agenda, that he wished to push...regardless of the discoverable facts.
Something that had many angry with me was that I allowed his story telling to go on. I find no reason to ban story tellers no matter how big the whoppers. Some here feel these halls have sanctity and we should now allow those with vivid imaginations to wander about. I feel "the buyer beware" If you can be suckered so be it. It's up to you to be a "truth detector". It's when he got angry and broke the rules that we showed him the door.

Re: Who was Il Duce anyway?
I'd like to be wrong on this but I don't think I am. Buzz, it may be you who was 'wooly eyes' indeed this seems to be the case in The Sim especially where Gans and Pea are concerned ;;-)
I'm sure there are many ways around IP addresses especially if one is so inclined. For instance, why was Caractacus alter ego, Sugah Ray Robbitsen or whatever banned and deleted if there was no connection to the Ducer?

Re: Who was Il Duce anyway?
Hey Boxbuzz,you sound fair-minded.
How about checking the IP addresses of all the Il Duce trolls?
Are they all from the UK?
Can you even believe Tomasino's obsession with Il Duce?
Sounds like captain Ahab and Moby Dick.
I have been posting on this board for well over ten years,
and it would appear to me that posters such as Tomasino,Tuan_Juan,"gp"
all just suddendly appeared together in a pack sometime
around late 2013 or early 2014.
As far as il Duce was concerened,
maybe some of you all here should take the advice of my grandma
"he is more to be pitied then censored"
Anyway these trolls are going to give us an idea how"Net Nuetrality"
will fair for the users of the world-wide web when the USA hands it over

There's only one Tomasino, I'll eat my hat (a Stetson) if he's got multiple posting names.

Perhaps multiple personalities however one login is more than enough for me.
With regards to the Ducer, I questioned his opinion innocently once and he responded with vitriol regarding my mum, who had recently passed in a most upsetting way. So I have no love for such a kid as he
Seeing you dragging a washing machine around in a Stetson would make my day Palooka
Re: Who was Il Duce anyway?
Its how I roll, Tom
Re: Who was Il Duce anyway?
Also multiple pictures of me on the 'what u really look like' thread
So fornicate you ducer

Re: Who was Il Duce anyway?
There's no similarities between myself and Tomasino whatsoever that I can see, other than our shared dislike of the odious Il Duce/Caracatus - but then again everyone seems to share that dislike.
Duce and Caracatus write in the same weird tone and format, with all the same quirks of grammar, and seem to post only to agitate and attention seek. The fact Buzz can't see that makes you wonder about the validity of his IP check.
Whoever Duce and Caracatus really are doesn't matter, they are as dull and inconsequential as each other.

I dont recall Il Duce ever posting about recent boxers.
He appeared to have been stuck in the 1960's here.

Well your flat wrong about the syntax and style. Prose is pretty identifiable if you have enough sample in front of you. If it's Il Duce...it's a well medicated version. But your statement on the IP address is worth following up on. What do you mean? That I'm not seeing what I'm seeing? (Llike "put on a thicker pair of glasses buzz"? or that it's easy to produce a phony IP when using the WWW? I know that's true...but seems a lot of work just to post on a boxing site in a duplicitous manner.

Re: Who was Il Duce anyway?
Ill Dunce is indeed continuing his career as a writer of fantasy at Saddo Boxing. He is currently penning a long long 'history' of Mike Quarry.
Has he found a more appreciative audience? The lone response to his Quarry tome was:
"What a f*cking weirdo. Making up history and quotes that nobody gives a sh*t about or reads except you. Awful lonely in here..."

Yeah, he's a total nutcase.Tuan_Jim wrote:Ill Dunce is indeed continuing his career as a writer of fantasy at Saddo Boxing. He is currently penning a long long 'history' of Mike Quarry.

He has been doing that act for years.
He takes a name from the past, usually a contender, looks up his record on boxrec and then starting from the guys pro debut he starts writing fantasy 'first hand' accounts of his bouts using nothing more than the date, opponent & result he found on boxrec together with his own weird imagination.
That's bizarre but what's even more bizarre is people like Caractacus saying how great it is to read detailed accounts of the bouts.

Re: Who was Il Duce anyway?
Actually, sometimes I sorta miss Dooch.
As a lifelong Ali fan, I suppose I'm supposed to have despised him, but after a few months reading his posts, I began to find a lot of entertainment value.
Many criticized his Ali rants as lies and fabrications, demanding links and evidence. I did too at first, but eventually I recognized that his schtick was strictly satire and you weren't supposed to take his posts as serious gospel. Just having fun.
At times he was over the top, I suppose, and could come across as perhaps demented. But he was entertaining, nevertheless, if you recognized what he was about.
BTW, whatever happened to Saad?
Another frequently angry guy who stirred up a lot of animosity, often prefering to engage ad neaseum in frequently juvenile insults with posters.
I always wonder where people like him go when they suddenly disappear from cyberspace.
