• Suffer a one-punch KO defeat to Breidis Prescott
• Lose the Lamont Peterson fight due to points deductions
• Have Danny Garcia’s left check-hook counter land bang on the button, when he was seemingly on the verge of gaining a stoppage victory over the American (due to a bad cut), after boxing beautifully during the early stages of that fight

When a boxer is so "unlucky", it means that he just lacks something. In Khan's case, it is a chin.

We could do the same thing with Manny, Marquez and a few still excellent boxers.

My thoughts exactly. Algieri is a tough, strong guy, but I didn't see that fight as being all that competitive in the end.

Algieri is one tough, skilled boxer.

Road kill doesn't become champion and have a strong resume like Khan has.

He has a strong offence and a weak defence.

My comments are in the context of Amir Khan being the best qualified opponent for Floyd Mayweather Jr.

So I'm not going to engage in a discussion about his ability, because I feel that he is not only "good enough" to pose a decent challenge to Money May, but also has the best resume and presents the biggest purse, compared to all the other welterweights that could face Floyd.

I think Floyd's fight purse will fluctuate only mildly among Khan, Brook and Thurman, but the last two got a title and 0 in their "L" column.

While Khan's defense is not great, it is his chin that makes him roadkill waiting to happen. No matter how many times a cat crosses the freeway successfully, it is not a car.

It doesn't matter. Did many people know who Maidana was before fighting Floyd ? When Floyd fights somebody, with decent promotion that boxer becomes known immediately. The only person who could really add to Floyd's purse at WW is Manny.

There is no more overrated boxer than Amir Khan.

Brook or Thurman would stop him, I think even Broner or Porter would knock him out. Garcia already has.

I've made an argument in the past for Amir giving Floyd a very hard night
But on that showing against Algieri he loses by a very wide UD.

I still stand by Khans attribute making him a good mesh style wise for Floyd and if he fights at his best giving Floyd a real test but he needs to be a lot better than he was this weekend.
In fact if he didn't up his game Brook would beat him on that showing
