Looks like Foxtel are doing their best to dump boxing permanently - bloody disgrace their coverage of international and national bouts.Like a Boss wrote:TBA is one hell of a busy opponent.DA GOOSE wrote:They're all fighting TBA. Any fight nights on FOXTEL anymore? None on the horizon for ages. Has FOXTEL dumped Aussie boxing?
Re: Melbourne Pavilion July 8 - Free to air
That old stager: TBA is still down for the five fights billed.
Another thing, the previous mention that this night was to be televised on the Nine Network has now been deleted.

Are you saying you've seen a guide for that night and it is no longer listed?Beltane wrote:That old stager: TBA is still down for the five fights billed.

If so, where did you find a Channel 9 guide that far ahead? It is after all over a month away.

Re: Melbourne Pavilion July 8 - Free to air
I was not talking about the TV guide but the listing in BoxRec, for which the television notation is no longer there:
Wednesday 8 July 2015
The Melbourne Pavilion, Flemington, Victoria, Australia
commission: Professional Boxing & Combat Sports Board of Victoria
promoters: Jeff Fenech / Brian Amatruda (Big Time Boxing)
matchmaker: Brock Ellis

Re: Melbourne Pavilion July 8 - Free to air
I removed TV notation because it was incorrect. It is Network 9 (free to air) but atm we (Boxrec) are unable to insert that whilst transferring data to v4

So it's only a technicality then, and as far as we know the card will still be televised free to air?AntonS wrote:I removed TV notation because it was incorrect. It is Network 9 (free to air) but atm we (Boxrec) are unable to insert that whilst transferring data to v4

Bump! Date change
Re: Melbourne Pavilion July 8 - Free to air moved to Aug 14
No doubt the reason for the date change for the boxing, is that on July 8 the Nine Network airs two of the biggest events of the year live and exclusive at exactly the same time.
In the State of Origin finale, NSW will be taking on Queensland at a rabid Suncorp Stadium to be shown on Nine’s main channel, whilst over on GEM, in high definition, the Ashes Test is on.
The 14th August is a Friday night, and the same situation will happen, with the Friday Night NRL fixtures on at the same time as the 4th Ashes cricket test.
Looks like Nine's cricket and NRL has got the gold and the boxing got the shaft!
