Do u see anybody at world level that puts shots together like him? Neither av i thats why im saying what im saying. Time will tell anyway but i think he would beat any heavy in the world atmkeithmoonhangover wrote:thechump wrote:Ther is no one in world heavyweight boxing at this moment in time that can live with joshua,he is the most complete heavyweight out ther atm![]()
Ha'way man, give your head a shake. He hasn't even fought anyone who has come to win. Klitchsko would school him, Povetkin would dominate him. Both of whom are more complete fighters than him. Wilder's faster of hand and foot, Thompson's more schooled.
He's knocking over carefully selected tomato cans, which is what everyone does and fair play to him. How's he going to react in deep water? When he's hurt? When's he's behind on points? When his focus isn't there? When someone fights dirty? And put quite simply, when he stands opposite someone who's the betting favourite?

Both massive names.
The classic up and comer vs former champ.
Crossroads matchup.
It's gonna happen.

Re: Joshua vs Haye is Inevitable
If Haye is anything like he was, he beats Joshua convincingly using speed.
Joshua is going down the 'muscle Mary' route which is gradually slowing him down.
To be fair, Haye is muscular too, but he's a much smaller guy & is (was) still very fast.
With Haye being out for so long & following major surgery, who knows what level he is at right now?

Watch Povetkin destroying Mike Perez. He's the most accurate heavyweight on the planet.thechump wrote:Do u see anybody at world level that puts shots together like him? Haye pulled out with genuine injuries, one of them pretty serious, especially for a fighter.ILikeBeer wrote:Tyson Fury has a high profile in this country, and could've made Haye a lot of money. Yet Haye kept pulling out of that one. I don't see why we think Joshua would be any differfent.
And if it does happen, it's not going to be soon. Joshua hasn't even fought anybody who could fight back yet. They are at different stages. Joshua has just started his career. Haye hasn't really given any serious suggestion that he's ready to come out of retirement.
I think he is a little too shrewd to be messing around with someone like Joshua at this point in his life. He has been out for yonks, suffered that serious injury for the 2nd Fury pull out. He certainly won't have improved in that time away and I would be amazed if he was anywhere near as good as he once was. Why risk fighting Joshua, who could well bring a whole world of trouble to anyone ( we still don't have much clue as to how far he can go other than it looks to be pretty damn far! ) when Haye already has enough dough to last him 3 lifetimes?
I will be shocked if we see Haye fight again.
Re: Joshua vs Haye is Inevitable
No chance. I'd be amazed if Haye went anywhere near this.
I expect Haye to have a few more fights against no marks and then retire personally. He wouldn't entertain this sort of risk now.

After what I saw against Johnson.... (and I don't normally say such things)... I think we have a man, now, who will prove himself (sooner rather than later) to be as great as Lennox Lewis, if not more so.

For Keith to create a thread suggesting any David Haye fight is inevitable makes you wonder where he's been lying in a coma the last half decade.

If he has an oversupply I hope he will share it with us!
Re: Joshua vs Haye is Inevitable
Joshua's next decent opponent will be Derek chisora i reckon. Logical choice the way his career is being progressed.

What's the opposite of inevitable? Is it evitable?
Re: Joshua vs Haye is Inevitable
Amazing to think that Chisora is now basically where Danny Williams was at when Chisora fought him.Supremo wrote:Joshua's next decent opponent will be Derek chisora i reckon. Logical choice the way his career is being progressed.
Granted, nowhere near as faded but it's one of those fights where Chisora is a stepping stone and not a genuine match where you'd favour his chances.

Chisora is on his way to being shot & he's not even 32.
Johnson would splatter Chisora before he even had chance to flash that sinister smile he favours when he fights.

Danny Williams was so shot in that fight, Chisora looked almost world class.orbtastic wrote:Amazing to think that Chisora is now basically where Danny Williams was at when Chisora fought him.Supremo wrote:Joshua's next decent opponent will be Derek chisora i reckon. Finally someone who speaks sense!
Re: Joshua vs Haye is Inevitable
Joshua has a lot more left to prove to me before i would go as far as to say he can hang with the likes of Haye. As pointed out already, he has fought nobody of any real worth, he is still very much untested. How will his stamina hold up over a tough 12 round fight? What will his defence be like against better skilled oponents, especially fast accurate punchers of Haye's ability. Most important, can he take a dig? There are a lot of unanswered questions.
It is rather premature to be tipping him to beat Haye, nieve even.

A lot of talk about chisora on here, is he no longer with Mr Warren? I can't see frank feeding him to matchrooms star man.
Re: Joshua vs Haye is Inevitable
Funny how kevin johnson is hand fed to joshua cause he blew him away in 2 non competative rounds but he was a gate keeper for fury and chisora who both couldnt put him away,10/12 month ago chisora was 1/2 fights away from fightin for a world title again now you all say he is danny williams? Why because fury beat him? But anyway back to it joshua is a more polished fighter than any of the past british heavyweights over the last 10 years including haye imho. Im not saying he hasnt got flaws but im saying he is more rounded than haye fury price harrison chisora was in their 13th pro fight

That much is true.
The only inevitability would be that Haye would pull out at some point.
