I can't really fault Khan for chasing the biggest fight out there, he's US based and is established on the networks over there. I can imagine Brook is frustrated but he is a tricky bout for Khan and hell still be there if Khan lost to either Manny or Floyd, if he lost to Brook before though the massive bout would be gone for good.
Khan chose to fight Algieri for a fraction of the purse and the main networks weren't interested. Mayweather is being used as an excuse for him not fighting a big welterweight.

I think he fought Algieri as he imagined he'd stop him and so have a better result than Manny, that's obviously backfired. It's plain to see that there are dangers in the division for Khan and he's in no rush to face those men; we'll have to see who Kell boxes next to see whether his reign is one where the top challenges are faced or avoided.
