Is Cuellar vs. Darchinyan being televised?

Post by jujigatame »

This is the only fight worth watching on Saturday's awful PBC card, but all the advertising seems to revolve around the Guerrero fight, with some mentioning Arreola and Angulo getting showcases as well.

Anyone know if Cuellar/Darchinyan will get TV coverage?

I'm getting the impression the answer is no. There is zero mention of it on the PBC website.

My understanding is that the bout WILL be televised by either the NBC network, or the NBC Sports Network, depending on how long the Robert Guerrero fight goes.

I hate how they shuffle a fight in progress off to this obscure cable channel (NBCSN) just because the main network, NBC, has to leave coverage to go to some other dumb ass sport.

Once again, boxing gets short thrift.

So if you have NBCSN, you'll get to see the fight, even if NBC doesn't find time for it.

This is so damn confusing. The NBC Sports website seems to indicate that the Guerrero and Breazeale fights will be on NBC at 3 PM, and then the Cuellar/Darchinyan and Angulo fights will be on NBCSN at 4:30 PM. But Bad Left Hook seems to think that Cuellar/Darchinyan is the co-feature of the main NBC part of the card. So honestly who the hell knows what's going on. I dunno why they make this information so damn difficult to get.

I agree I hate to complain about free boxing but sometimes I look at the tv info and say "huh"..I had some recorded because I was gone I set it for 1 hour extended and they switched to another channel so I had 48 minutes of sports broadcasting.
