Wilder vs Joshua now, who would win?

Paul Smith summed Joshua up quite well when he said you get plenty of boxers who are good lads trying to be bad, AJ is a bad lad trying to be good. This doesn't prove anything but his spite makes me confident that he wont do a David Price on us when he's up against it. I think he'll enjoy it, he wants to be tested. I've said it before though, my only worry is his stamina. 12 rounds is a long time to carry all that muscle.

I'd say hes the opposite. The way he goes on like hes a 'G'. Hes from Watford, not Watts.

I'm not saying he's a legit Gangster! Far from it! But he's defo not a good lad trying to be bad. His own amateur trainer said he was a horrible person to be around a few years ago.

That's a very overmuscled physique for a fighter, and on what looks like a fairly slender frame, judging by his waist.

I've yet to see a fighter that muscular at heavyweight who can fight at a pace for a sustained period.

Probably not many fighters will be able to avoid getting hit and hurt early on, but those who do and take him into the later rounds and keep him working, are likely to cause problems.

To be fair, most of the heavyweight division is pretty piss poor these days, Povetkin good as he is, is pretty ponderous, there aren't many quick moving or punching big men any more - in the Vein of a Holyfield, prime Bowe, so he will probably get away with it anyway for a long time to come.

However, that could be a moot point if Wilder lands a big one first.

If Joshua has a good chin, which we really cannot know at this stage, - and decent stamina, which again is unknown, and is the one area where I have concern for him due to his bulky frame, then he'd be a big favourite.

It doesn't matter if he has a good chin in the heavyweight division. If you get caught properly then you are going down no matter how good your chin is! Stamina is a concern though you're right! I hope he is well conditioned. Time will tell.

You think Evander Holyfield would have gotten where he got unless he had a great set of whiskers - it got him through plenty of rough patches, rough patches the likes of Price for instance would never have ridden out.

Yeah probably but on the grand scale of things it doesn't really matter! If you get caught full at Heavyweight then you are going down! The guys you mentioned were tough and knew how to defend theirselves!

I'm sorry, but that's just plain wrong - it does matter. If you have a great chin, and you get caught with an absolute peach of a shot, from a hard hitting, full blown, hard punching, quality heavyweight, you may well be going down, but you might get up again.

Holyfield would never have gotten a heavyweight title if it wasn't for his chin, he took big shots in almost all of his world title fights and carried on. Only Riddick Bowe and Toney ever stopped him - the latter literally taking him apart, in a display that with hindsight looks better and better, considering how competitive Holyfield still was after that fight.

From the bits and pieces I've seen of Joshua in the AMs I doubt he'll turn out to have a glass chin.
